"Freedom Faith" was the name I took when I was in the Children of God. Already by that time considered "The Family." I was with the Children of God/The Family for only about 10 months during 1982. I left California with a COG family (Andrew, Prisca, Abigail and 7 children: Ian, Noah, Stephen, Jessica, Philip, Hava Katrina, & Andrea.) We lived in Guadelajaro, Mexico. I've always been curious as to what became of my "family." I loved them all dearly, and it broke my heart when I had to leave. I just simply could not continue lying to myself that "The Family" was a legitamate Christian organization. Too many things they did contradicted the Bible, and as much as I wanted to convince myself it was not a cult, I could not do it, so I left. It took me years to recover. Andrew & Prisca's real names were Rick and Colleen Curran. I can't remember what Abigail's real name was. I hope they are all okay.
