My parents were members who were sucked in in the 1970s. Although they left the cult a few months after I was born (my mom refused to have me go through what she had seen other children go through), they maintained contact with The Family while I was growing up. As a result, I was first-hand witness to some of their depravity, including child abuse (I was abused as well). [br]My life now is pretty awesome: I'm married to a pastor (yes, believe it or not, The Family's twisted views DID NOT drive me away from pursuing Christ!), I am currently teaching at a Christian preschool and working with disabled kids through an organization called ARC. I am also the very proud mother of a wonderful 2 and-a-half-year-old boy named Jay.
