Born and Raised in the Family. Left at the age of 16 and then rejoined at 18 and left again for the last time when I was 21. I left the first time when all the changes were coming about after the DTR. I was so sad at watching what was happening to my brothers on a daily basis and since I felt like I couldn't help I had to leave. I rejoined after getting pregnant on the outside and I was just lost. I didn't know what else to do, but it only took a couple of years to wake me up and realize that it was over with for me. I had to leave and make my life for myself and my son that now depended solely on me for a chance at a normal childhood. Free of abuse and people telling him what or how to think. I wanted him to be free to choose to live anyway he chose, not one that was beat into him.
