Yes my parents also encouraged me to find interest in other schools of thought - like the one that refers to homosexuality as a "deadly sin" the same one that claims black people were cursed by God...need I say more?
I don't think we would even have a sensible debate going on here because the only thing I've got going politically is apathy, I despise extremism and hold no strong opinions on anything other than my disregard for your dark, small mindedness.
Did you follow mum and pops out as a TSer?
Do you have any further education? I have two degrees which I admit forged a great part of my belief system. But at least people acknowledge my opinions as "educated".
If you've been "out" for 10+ years then obviously you never made the decision to leave the cult yourself, this could explain the respect you retain for your parents latent extremist outlook. (and a lack of character you compansate for by regurtitating the views you read in some Apartheid recommended reading )

well I did my homework and here's what turned up: "Researchers at the University of Georgia have used the PPG to test the claim that homophobic men are latent homosexuals. In their study of 64 exclusively heterosexual men (self-identified), 66 percent of the non-homophobic group showed no significant arousal while watching a male homosexual video, while only 20 percent of the homophobic men showed little or no evidence of arousal. This University study has not aroused much interest elsewhere, however."

What were all the circumstances of the study and those involved?
From what population was the sample taken?
How large was the sample in proportion to the whole population?
Was the sample from the target population a Matched Sample, Independent Sample, Random Sample, Simple Random Sample, Stratified Sample, Cluster Sample, or a Quota Sample? And what about the Standard error(s), Precision and Bias?

Just when I was starting to make peace with some of the people I've been flaming back and forth with you had to come along and get me riled up again.
You still have not substantiated your claim of having access to “known facts” that to the rest of us are neither known nor factual.
Also you have yet to provide yourself with a recognizable identity other than “that asshole who takes cheap shots at people’s names and has no fucking clue what he’s talking about”. No doubt you’ll remain anonymous rather than associate your actual self with these ignorant retorts.

It seems like the folks that talk the most trash are the ones that are afraid to actually have a real log-in name. I suggest to all here that we just ignore the trash-talking, mud-slinging mother-f'ers who don't have enough balls to actually post who they really are. Seems that hiding behind some type of anonymous username is being a coward. If we all just stop talking to them a lot of flame-wars would stop. I have courage enough to use my username on every post & most of the serious folks here do too . . .at least we know who we are when we throw mud & are willing to face the repercussions of our actions, unlike the others who just like to cause wars & hurt other's feelings.
John, I've talked to you on many occasions and think you're a neat guy & so does most of the folks here. Whoever this trash-talker is doesn't deserve a response from you who have more respect & decency for yourself then he/she does.
