My boyfriend recently found an injured cat in the street, rushed it to the emergency vet and over the next 10 days we cared for it whilst visiting various vet clinics to have it scanned 4 microchips and look at their lost/found folders. After determining that it was feral, we let it go in a safe place. To us, this was the only thing to do but the ASPCA wanted to put her down and many people think our attentions were excessive. What's your opinion?
If it was my lost cat, I'd hope someone would to the same.
I would have been too afraid of rabies etc. to touch it.
If it was a dog, maybe but I'm not a cat person or vice-versa.
I would have spay/neutered before setting him/her free.
I would do what I could for a defenseless animal but not for a person who could help themself.
People like you spend way too much time and energy on animals and not enough on humans.
I just can't get passed the asshole who hit it and left it in the street to die!!!! I'm gonna hunt him/her down.
