Archives and new categories
I have added 2 new categories: "Leaving" and "Health" and have moved some articles to here. Also, I have created an archive and will be moving articles to this section when the category gets too full, or the article is time sensitive.
The link to the archive is on the left hand side of the site pages, at the bottom of the "articles" box.  (reply to this post)

RE: I just did the pal talk
I have tinkered with it, I'm having port issues that are blocking some of the chat features I want for my cafe and they seem to be stopping me for the time being, when we do get it working with other services sometimes we experience as high as 15 second delay due the satelite bounce, we were on DSL backup the other day and it seemed to work a little better.

Comments are threaded
I've changed the scripting on the comments page so that replies are listed beneath the comment they were replying to. I've had to guess who was replying to who, so don't get too excited if your comment is moved, or not in the right place--just let me know and I can change it.  (reply to this post)

Worth a look
Have you checked out the PalTalk progam it allows for voice chats and you can set up confreances so that you can set up voice chats with all your pals. Just a suggestion   (reply to this post)

RE: Worth a look
I took a look at this JR. It looks pretty cool. Have you used it? Does it work well? I mostly use Netmeeting for video conferencing, though embedding it into a page only works in IE. I am looking for something that will not strain the server too much, not Java (I hate Java), and that I can incorporate into the site interface.

The ASP chats I have seen look pretty insecure, and I don't think my hosting company would let me set something like that up. I have seen ICQ embedded into webpages on some sites, does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Perhaps a simpler idea would be to just let people list their ICQ numbers if they wanted to?

RE: Worth a look
Sorry that I havent responded yet. But yes I have used it, it is a down loadable program that runs fairly well. I have run across several issues (might just be my configuration and system), one I had to set it to manual start as it was poping on as soon as I made a connection, and it was interfearing with my ISP fully connecting and loading my home page. This has casued several crashes, but I think it has more to do with a software conflict then the actual program. Any way It is very easy to set up and use. By the way for any out there that want to use this program it is free (with the option to pay a small fee for use with no ads). My user name is jr308
