Why is there no chat room?

I am still working on it
I tried one, but it really sucked. I am still looking for another one that I can use. The type of webserver this is hosted on restricts the type of scripts I can run.

The only way to show who is online would be for people to register and then sign in when they come here. Although some people have registered, most of the visitors here lurk and read anonymously.

Okay, I finally got to try this script out and it sucks! Write your own is the lesson...

Perhaps a Java applet would be a better way to go. Unfortunately I cannot write Java, so I will install someone else's version of something and I hope it doesn't suck too badly. (Can't be worse than the present chat)
