To Sarafina
Sara,

I moved your comment into a new article called "What Should We Do?". I also removed the phone number from this, hope that was okay.

This is a public website, and there are some sensitive and controversial issues discussed. There are a lot of crazies out there (some with nothing to do with the Family :-)) so to protect your own privacy and safety, please don't post any personally identifiable information.  (reply to this post)

New Sections
I have added 2 new sections to the site, "speaking out" which is a place for people to contact other people about telling their stories, and "generations", which is an experiment involving an invitation to first generation exmembers to come and interact with us.

This second section might be a bad idea, and I don't know what people think about this. I am hoping that any older exmembers that would like to participate will be respectful of "our space" and limit their comments and posts to this area.

Birthday Banner
This feature was thought of by Sunny, and automatically displays users birthdays if they have put this information in the registration form.

If you don't want this info displayed for you, then let me know and I'll disable it in your profile. I will add an opt out feature in the "update profile" page so people can hide this themselves if they want.  (reply to this post)

My web-cam is live!
My web cam is live again at the internet cafe. I have been so busy I don't hardly even go down there any more. Most likely I will be selling it in the next month to my partner. The link is www.gringosmojados.com and then click on the web cam link.

It didn't work, wet foreigner!
I tried it and it just opened up a blue screen with Gringos Mojados at the top and "check out our live web cam" at the bottom. Nothing else.

You have to install and run the little Java program that you should have been prompted for.

What OS and browser are you using?

Sunny,

I had assumed windows and IE but I was wondering which version. I think actually what happened is that you were trying this after 1:00 AM and the store was closed so there was no video. Also, if you have a dial-up connection it can be very difficult to view. Let me know if continues to be a problem.

Yeah, it was probably closed at the time. I got a look at it now. Would be good to see you in there.
