Pointless Story
I have a banal little anecdote to share with the members of movingon.org. So I’m hanging out with alcoholic, redneck/trailer trash teenagers (yes, I actually just said that) who all hate “niggers”, the Dixie chicks, and communists (ok, that last one was just assumed) and who listen to country music…….FOR FUN!!! The guys, Budweiser in hand, wore crude t-shirts about the female genitalia, penetrating the female genitalia or some other equally offensive redneckermobillia. Other than their accents, they would seem to be like any other kids in the US that spend too much time at their local mall. Anyway, the entire time they were going on about “n**** this” and “n**** that” (I guess this is some sort of redneck bonding ritual) and I was sitting there in a very zen like state contemplating the decisions I had made in life, or perhaps just that day that brought me to “hang out” with such subordinates. Anyway, the n**** hating talk was just getting out of hand so I went out on the balcony to get some fresh air and soon they all “came a followin”.
Now I know there is an instinct many people have, similar to self-preservation that allows them to care about their reputation, that allows them to put their tempers aside for the sake of civility, that allows them to think about the things they would like to say. I, for one, do not have this instinct. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to get people riled up and angry and shocked, so I said, in all banalism fashion “Oh, I can’t wait to get home and suck some black cock.” Dead silence followed, one of the little rednecks glared at me in the most hateful way and asked me “what I had just said?” When, I gave him an unapologetic smirk he became infuriated and I thought he just might like to hit me. Our dear redneck host in an attempt to calm things down said, in the most genuine and well-intentioned way “Well, I guess its ok for Asians.” !!!!!!
And that my friends is my banal, anti-climatic, purely observational story about life in the bible belt. This, is middle America!

Lol! Banal, I have to say that was the best story I've heard to tell so far!

re.gifJoe H, July 23, 2004, 15:00
I pity the fool!
How sad for those poor rednecks that they will never know the joy of fucking hot black and asian women! I've had some of the best sex of my life with members of minority groups, and I simply cannot fathom why anyone would want to limit their dating pool in such a senseless and arbitrary way. Oh well, I guess the less chances they have to breed, the better!

Bodylanguage and Spirit
Actually, besides my exhibitionist aspirations, no I actually wanted to post a couple of non explicit nude pictures of myself as a male ex SGA to see what the reactions would be of my peer group, many of whom may or may not be comfortable with the notion of the human body. But who says that exhisting has to be comfortable. I think we do get a bit up tight about our bodies after having pulled in oposite directions from the way we grew up seing our bodies as things that are not to be ashamed of, and conditioning those feelings with the abuse we might have been exposed to is probably more unhealthy than learning how to loosen up in life.

So what you see is what you get.  (reply to this post)

re.gifJoe H, July 22, 2004, 13:17
Your body, yourself
I think that there is almost no one who "may not be comfortable with THE NOTION of the human body" Your picture, though I haven't seen it, was certainly a lot more than a "notion". Despite what Berg would have had us believe, I think that for the vast majority of people, their bodies ARE something to be ashamed of. Very few people have bodies that are deserving of exposure and admiration. In any case, if people "have issues," you should have enough good manners to refrain from offending them, whether or not they are correct in feeling offended.

And wtf is "what you see is what you get" supposed to mean? Are you saying that everyone who saw your wang is going to be getting it in the near future?

Estee
While we are on the topic of pictures can I be the first to say that Estee gives a very fine example of "bodies deserving of exposure"! You are gorgeous girl!Feel free to post more. ;)

What's the big fuss folks???
Perhaps he should have said "notion of the NAKED human body". But in any case, I wonder why you're so worked up about it as you didn't even see the pictures Joe??

True, there are many people who should keep it under wraps and perhaps DO wear far less than they should, but IMO, if you've got it, flaunt it!
(reply to this post)

re.gifJoe H, July 22, 2004, 14:01
I flaunt it with pants on, thank you!
I'm worked up about it because I suspect that, just as his writing offends my grammatical tastes, his body would offend my aesthetic tastes. I'm sure that if there's some way for a penis to be misspelled, culti would find it. Judging by his half-naked photos, Cultinvator doesn't have much of a body to flaunt. Besides, the Pedantic Prick is the only prick on this website. Let's keep it that way!!

Flauting Stuff
Actually, the reason I have to flaunt it with my pants on is because the sock (or, as occasion warrants, gherkin) I pad my crotch with would be too visible.

As as for Culti's photo: "Oh, my heart, get a grip on thyself!" We have got to meet sometime, Culti. But let me warn you ahead of time that I only pretend not to be gay....(I think).

The picture is gone. Sorry Cultie, but that's too European even for me. Can't you just email your naked pictures directly to the people who actually want to see them?

Hey, so he's extreemly comfortable with who he is - it's more than a lot of us can say...

re.gifJoe H, July 22, 2004, 12:14
What about the rest of us?
Just because he's extremely comfortable with who he is, doesn't mean everyone else on the planet is. This is why modesty and timidity are not the same thing, and why indecent exposure doesn't fall under the protection of freedom of speech. Having said that, I didn't see the photo; was it full-frontal or just an ass-shot?
(reply to this post)

re.gifJerseygirl, July 22, 2004, 13:49
Mountains out of molehills.
It was not full frontal it was a picture from the side with him taking a stride forward. Anyways, you're being totally silly. I've found that most of the time the only people who get really uptight about other peoples bodies(especially the ones they HAVE NOT SEEN) are usually not much to look at themselves.
(reply to this post)

re.gifShackled, July 22, 2004, 18:43
I concur
I didn't find his pictures offensive either. I just thought, cool, he's comfortable with his body.

I have a bone to pick with Joe H!
I was re-reading the transcript of the chat this evening, and I noticed that you felt it was necessary to tell me that Peter Ustinov was an actor...
WTF!?!? Exactly how thick do you think I am???

Incidentally, in order to refresh my memory in regards to his work outside of acting, I looked it up and found that he was a novelist and playwright of note, twice nominated by the Writer's Guild of America for screenplays he wrote. He was fluent in French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish and could also speak Turkish, Greek and... Danish, which i feel speaks particularly well for him... : )

I've always been drawn to his obvious culture and intellect; and his legacy is one which I feel is wholly deserving of my admiration.

I'll end with a few quotations:

"Her virtue was that she said what she thought, her vice that what she thought didn't amount to much."

"The truth is an ambition which is beyond us."

"I rather think of myself as ethnically filthy - and proud of it."

"In America, through pressure of conformity, there is freedom of choice, but nothing to choose from."

"Children are the only form of immortality that we can be sure of."

"I'm convinced there's a small room in the attic of the Foreign Office where future diplomats are taught to stammer."

"The point of living and of being an optimist, is to be foolish enough to believe the best is yet to come."

Peter Ustinov (1921 - 2004)  (reply to this post)

re.gifJoe H, July 13, 2004, 17:36
Huh?
I'm confused as to the purpose of your post. Are you picking a bone with me or are you trying to turn into this into an impromptu Peter Ustinov day? If the former, I think you took my words out of context. If the latter, I salute your efforts.
(reply to this post)

re.gifVicky, July 13, 2004, 17:40
Bone's all picked now
I was just irritated that you actually thought I didn't know that Peter Ustinov was an actor. Where do you think I was during all those video nights spent sitting through Quo Vadis???

And then I decided to have a little go at making this into my very own Peter Ustinov Day...

: P

In fact, it's so bad that if a girl I am shagging moans "Ooooooh" with one too many 'o's, my penis becomes flacid instantly and I am forced to ditch her on the spot.
