Siolo's Tattoo!
Girl, you're pretty cute, but I must say that getting a tat of the cult's symbol strikes me as rather fucked-up and perversely intriguing, no less than if I saw a Nazi-hating, proud Jew with a Swastika tat. It's one of those things which can really salad-toss the brain, initially, at least.

I'm not attacking you, but I'm sure by you posting that pic here and calling attention to your tat, you were expecting some sort of reaction, and I, as the great humanitarian and would-be-woman-pleaser, didn't want to disappoint you and let it go unnoticed and uncommented. Ooops, Halle Berry is about to bust me on this site looking at your pic, so I'm outta here. :0  (reply to this post)

re.gifSiolo, January 14, 2004, 23:59
Hmmm...
You know,

I'm not sure what my motive was in posting the picture with the tatto, I diden't really think it would incite comment. However since it has I guess I'll put in my two cents. I was seventeen when I left and had nobody on the outside to go to, I was also in Bolivia at the time and was not in a situation to go to a teen shelter or something. So, I had a rough go of it for awhile. I guess when I got the tatto I was still feeling really bitter and abandoned, I mean the family was 'my family'. I was born in it, grew up in it and had never had anything else, as much as I hated life in the family I felt so lost for a long time. The tatoo was kind of my way of saying that I had been branded and damaged by the family but I was always going to be a part of it the way your always part of a biological family, like it or not. Even if the family refused to accept me the way I was or help me at all.

Also, I thought about becoming a carrer criminal and I wanted to make sure that if I got shot robbing a bank or something everybody would know who to blame for "this young life gone tragically astray" Ha!

If I could have found someone to brand me instead I would have prefered that.

makes sense
Honestly, Siolo, I think that your tat is pretty cool and the story behind it makes sense.

Re: tattoo
I think what's scarier than the tattoo is her over-developed muscles.

loyal opposition
I don't know guys.....I was stunned speechless by her pictures;enough to turn from my usual reticence for commenting on someone's appearance. It was hard not to see beauty, intrigue, and yes, even cheeky irony in the physique, the tatoo, and the pose.

I'll curtsy here, you are most kind Albatross. Thanks for the love!

re.gifSiolo, January 15, 2004, 00:04
scary muscles?
I take it as the highest compliment that somebody would think of me as scary looking! All that hard work at the gym finally pays off...
Do you prefer flabby women?
(reply to this post)

re.gifJoe H, January 16, 2004, 15:35
yes, scary
I think you may have overdone it, if not with the lifting, than at least with the flexing. You can be soft and feminine without being flabby, I know a girl who demonstrates this fact quite well. Mmmmm

Beauty Of Strength!
I don't know Joe, I think her muscles are awesome. I like strong and in-shape women, the kind that can keep me in line. Of course, Chyna does push it a little too far for my taste. But I guess it's mainly Chyna's face I don't like. It would be cool to, at least once, sleep with a girl who can bench press more than me and who have muscles twice as large as mine.

re.gifSiolo, January 17, 2004, 01:36
Muscles
I doubt I could bench press more than you, but thanks for the support. I'm really not trying to look like Chyna I just like to feel fit and strong and sexy. I lift weights mainly to keep fat off, not really to look like a body builder.
I think if my face started to look masculine, I'd lay off the weights.

Yeah, that tatoo is pretty insipid, but her muscles are great. I'd do her.

Trufle Pigs
Is anyone here a fan of the Mathew Good Band? He really is amazing. Of course certain individuals like JoeH, who tend towards small mindedness at times, will find it hard to overlook the fact that he is Canadian. In any case ,I was just curious to know if the music, or especially the lyrics, have struck a chord with anyone else on this site.  (reply to this post)

Matt Good Band
Yeah, I have some of their CD's and I love to listen to them when I'm on the road and feeling aggressive. My favorites are, "Hello Time Bomb," "Strange Days," and "Apperition."
Have they done anything new?

Its all about aggression
Avalanche is the latest CD.

To canada with love
It would be so easy to hate the canadians were it not for Mike Myers, Norm MacDonald, and of course, Jerseygirl. Their sexy sophistication and sense of humor totally outweighs the fact that they come from "America lite."

I would check out Matthew Good if I wasn't so paranoid about getting a subpoena from the recording industry (not to mention too cheap to spring $15 for a cd even though I now make a decent salary). Could you find it in your heart to send me some copies as provided in the "fair use" doctrine?

Desperately Seeking Alf
I wanted to get in the word this morning with some old friends but alas, I could not find the Alf letters. Have they been removed or relocated? Does anyone know? I sure hope this isn't a case of "Alfs voice will fade when attention isn't paid"! LHU!!  (reply to this post)

The Quiet City
Anyone else experience the power outage? TTL for Survival Sam's training as we had lots of candles and canned tuna, although our fleebags were not packed and my sister wouldn't get too far carrying her 50 pairs of shoes anyways.

Actually it was weird trying to remember what we used to do for fun at home with no TV, video games or internet. We played chess, had a pillow fight and watched the stars.   (reply to this post)

re.gifJoe H, August 18, 2003, 17:59
Matthew, Mark, Luke John anyone?
We always play that idiotic hand clapping game where each person takes the name of a gospel and rhythmically says his own name followed by that of another player. But we got sick of the biblical references and changed it to "You smell like crap now" with each player taking one word of the sentence. This results in endless hilarity: "clap, clap, you smell" "clap, clap, crap now" "clap, clap, you like" "clap clap, crap smell"

More Drinking Games
I'm guessing that the more beer is consumed, the funnier this gets?
Here's an idea, Family publications could be recycled into a fun drinking game.
Drink every time:
*Jesus speaks
*Some Family member sucks up to Zerby
*Plagerized material shows up
*An acronmym is used
*They appeal for money
*They invent a word
*A "prophecy" doesn't quite work out
etc. etc.

re.gifJoe H, August 18, 2003, 21:05
Hilarious!
That would be great, except that it requires you to read Family publications (ewww!). Maybe an alternative would be to watch TV and drink everytime you see something Berg disliked. At the end of an hour, the drunkest person would be the one who got the most "Word time" while in the group, and could be subjected to a thorough beating.

What I think about recent photos.
Sunny looks freaking stupid, as usual. Her haircut and her silly expressions don't help at all. She reminds of what Berg used to say about how some people are meant to show how God has a sense of humor.

Jackie's hot! She looks like a girl I was sleeping with a few months ago before I got back together with my girlfriend (except Jackie's much cuter). That being said, what the hell were you thinking naming your daughter Shakira? Try to imagine if your parents had named you Charo, because in 20 years, that's exactly the kind of image "Shakira" will conjure up in people's heads. I hope she has enough sense to change it before high school.

Zac looks good though.  (reply to this post)

re.gifKirschy, August 16, 2003, 09:17
To Joe H
Note the age of her daughter. She was born and named long before the Columbian singer was a world-wide sensation. She is also half Asian, so the name is in keeping with her ethnic background.

Shakira is an arab name. She was also pretty well known in latin America and Spain when she was only 16 or 17.

just info
Hi to all, just wanted to clarify that Shakira is not only arab but also indian. And just for the record I had no idea who Shakira (the singer) was at the time my kid was born although now of course I do and love her music. I got the name from an asian name book.So much for all the other theories.Take care!

Names
I know how annoying it is when people make asumptions about your child's name... At least you have the advantage that you like Shakira's music -- I had the misfortune to name my daughter (Born in December '98) Brittany, and lo and behold in Jan. '00 Britney Spears brought out her first single here in the UK. The idea that people actually think I named my daughter after some mediocre pop princess is just SO mortifying so as I tell a new aquaintence my childrens' names I have to go into an explenation of how she was born before Britney arrived on the scene...
Oh well it can't be helped.
I think Shakira is a lovely name and your daughter is beautiful! I''m curious, what does Shakira mean?

Beg to Differ
I disagree with the part about Sunny. I agree about Jackie being beautiful, plus I love her articles and comments. But Sunny looks great. I think with the short hair she physically resembles Winona Ryder who may be a shoplifting freak but is beautiful. The shoot pictures do look low-budget, but that is not Sunny's fault. A bit higher budget for makeup, setting and so forth and it would be perfect.

Offended
That was a horrible thing to say about Winona Ryder! Just cause she got busted for shop lifing doesn't mean you have to go comparing her to Sunny James. I think the UN declared that cruel and unusual punishment!
