    Getting Through : In Remembrance

    I wrote this working late one night, almost three years ago. I dedicate this piece to all those who are dear to us but who are no longer with us. Your thoughts are our thoughts. We've all been 'on the edge' at some time or other. A lot of us are still on the edge, trying to find our way. Daylight, nightlight. It's all a blur.

    Speeding through the pages of the book
    Hoping for another look
    Feed this hungry mind
    Satisfy curious eyes

    Will you stop me? I can barely see
    I’ll listen if you hold on to me
    Makes no sense to try if I’m wrong
    I’ll listen, hold on to me
    But who wants to stay put their whole life long?

    Give me some time to work things out
    Ease my mind… if I doze off give me a shout
    Like a never-ending story life is
    But life goes on ‘till something gives

    And you will never know what could have been
    If it would have been

    Speeding through the pages of this life
    Hoping for a second chance
    ‘Can’t find a way out of this maze
    Why can’t I make things right?

    Dave, you can make things right!

    Try :

    - Putting all you don't understand about your life in a folder. Sub-divide and organise à volonté. Leave this folder untouched, don't let it's contents encumber your mind and thoughts.

    - Look around you. I'm sure there are many who love, look up to and admire you. Take time for them, to be with them and watch yourself blossom positively! See your life becoming richer by the second by what you give, instead of what you can take.

    - The answers will come to you, little by little, at their own pace and time.
