Getting Through : In Remembrance

I love U sweet Mommy! Rest in Peace, Yolanda Lambert (51-05)

You're like the sky, so much a part of everything around me, and who I am that I sometimes took you for granted.

You managed to live your dream and still continue to be the best mother ever.

We were apart as much as we were together, but your essence was always with me in spite of our separate ways and our living apart.

You communicated with me through my feelings when I argued with my head.

You loved me and I love you and will never forget you.

I'm glad I got to see you one more time before your accident.

It hurts me to think you suffered such a painful death and I wish I could have been there to save you.

I release your soul into the earth that gave me to you and you to the world.

Your son who will always love you...you'll always remain the beautiful young mother we know.

In eternal love from son to mother,

-Jonathan.

Jonathan,

Please accept my deepest condolences, to you and your family during this time of loss. Everyone I know who knew your mother has commented that she was an incredibly wonderful woman, who at every turn, supported and was present for her children in a way few of our parents were or are.

May she rest in peace.

Dearest Johnny,

My heart goes out to you at this time....Your mom was one of the few adults who would listen and you felt really cared and who you knew wouldn't go running to the leaders to betray your confidence. I look at you and see what a beautiful and amazing person she raised you to be and as a mother myself, I think that it is the greatest testiment to the kind of person she was.

Keep in touch mon ami intime...

Phillippe, the 19 yr old lives with his Girlfriend in Madrid. The minor, Benji who's 17 (but will be turning 18 this month) moved to Josh's Place, my older brother. We just emptied out mom's house where Benji was living and helped him move to Josh's not far from Brussels, Belgium.(reply to this comment

Thank You all for your warm condolences. Each one means a lot to me

Mother died on August 6th in a tragic accident where a concrete slab fell on 6 passangers about to get on the bus. Some where severely injured, but Mom was the only one to die.

The back wall, which was supposed to be the main support to the large concrete roof had been removed a few weeks before, and several complaints were made that the structure was not sound since there were four flimsy poles holding up a roof that weighed over 1500 kilos.

My two youngest Brothers Philippe and Benji were crossing the road with Phillippe's girlfriend and my mother went under the structure first when the driver misscalculated the distance between the mirror and the roof and the mirror touched the roof knocking the whole thing down with my mother and several other people under, including a young girl that has been under intensive care.

My brothers tried to pull her out but the roof was too heavy, so they got help and about 10 minutes later dozens of people surrounded the concrete roof and managed the remove the structure. But the damage was done. She had vomited her meal from having been crushed underneath, and was still alive, but have a lot of difficulty breathing. She had cried earlier on "Benji help me, I can't breathe' The ambulance arrived soon after and my brothers were left outside without any comfort or help... (Some of these small villages in La Mancha are so behind in the times and indiferent to personal tragedies, it's hard to understand how they could leave my youngest brother who is a minor on the side of the road without any psychological help, or at least a place to stay being that "Auto Continental" the bus company responsible is one of he largest in Spain. So they tried to resucitate my mother in the ambulance but she died after going into shock and spazms due to respiratory problems from a crushed ribcage.

My brothers weren't able to say goodbye and that's the sad loss of our mother that we'll have to live with. But she knew she was loved and we miss her terribly.

I'm sure many of you on this site knew her. She went by Yolanda Lambert, Mary Mountain, Mary the Revolutionary, and Ruth Meekeness.

I don't know how many are interested in such a sad story, I know it's not for everyone, but I know there are many out there who can relate, many of you have lost closed friends and family and my mother's loss continues to be very intense because she was the closest person to me along with my 5 brothers and my closest friends.

Jon,

If you need to talk, or need a listening ear, call me. I knew your mother and remember her being one of the very few kind and loving adults.

Sincerest condolences.
