Moving On - Children of the Children of God

I wrote this for Ricky. I am shocked and grieved that he chose to take his own life and I am still very upset about the very sad news. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and all those who knew him personally and the woman that died at his hand also.

Reaching for the light because everything was so dark
You wanted to leave this world and leave your mark

What you left behind was upon our hearts a big stain
A splash of blood and so much pain

The light of your life was extinguished by your own hand
You had your whole life to live and you didn't seem to understand

That while there is life there is hope and it comes in so many ways

Instead of letting the ones who hurt you win because you pulled the trigger

I shall never forget you
Even though I never personally met you

I read all about you, in the group you were the "elite"
And when you left, you were so brave and had the world at your feet!

I always admired you but you made a bad decision. Death should not be the way out we choose.
As long as your alive you can win, but taking your own life, is the surest way to lose.

This may sound really bad and cold but this event was practically
predicted or more like long awaited. Something drastic had to happen
to/thru key people to hopefully get the attention of the world and get the ball rolling in our fight for justice.

I look upon Ricky Rodriguez "Davidito" as a kind of martyr for the
cause. He has made the ultimate sacrifice. I`m sorry it ended up this
way. My condolences go to all X-COG who knew him. We all have one
thing in common with "davidito" and that was that he was a victim too.
I`m not for violence and "sara" didn`t deserve such an easy way out.
But sometimes its the only way, at least its a start for things to
happen. We all would have like`d to see her behind bars for the rest
of her days.

If I was to put it in religous terms than I say that this is GODS
punishment on this sect/cult the COG...the leaders. Now all they can
do is to suck it all up.

Fuck that. I believe everyone has the right to end his or her lives as they see fit. I honestly can’t see why it’s considered sad or bad for single individuals to kill themselves. We couldn’t chose how or when we were born, at least we can decide the particulars of our deaths. Stop bitching about suicide. There is noting inherently good about life, and certainly nothing terribly wrong about death.
