James Lyrics - One Of The Three Lyrics

This song by James really touched me, and i see how it's related to those who have given up. In April 2007 it will be 5 years since my older sister committed suicide, I hope she found peace.

Three
You were one, one of the three
One in three must find some peace
You were one, one of the three
I need proof before belief
Oh, well, you just knew they'd come for you
So it was suicide, suicide
Oh, well, now you got just what you want
I hope you're satisfied

One of the three, one of the three, one of the three, one of the three
You were one, one of the three
One in three must find some peace
You were one, one of the three
I need proof before belief
Oh, well, I guess you're not to blame for what they've
Done in your name, in your name
Oh, well, it's a shame you got so famous for a sacrifice

One of the three, one of the three, one of the three, one of the three
One of the three, one of the three, one of the three, one of the three
You were one, one of the three
One in three must find some peace
You were one, one of the three
I need proof before belief

You sent forth your lamb to the slaughter
You sent forth your lamb to the slaughter
You sent forth your lamb to the slaughter
You sent forth your lamb to the slaughter

P.s. I feel deepy for your loss. This kind of thing, this blood is on the hands of parents who sacrificed their children for their misguided beliefs. Now as a whole generation comes to years with no past, it is no wonder why one of these would have no hope for the future. Especially when their future was ripped out of their hearts and minds the minute they stepped outside of the Family spell.

I was listening to Sheryl Crow today, it was really moving, probably because it's music from the mid to late 90s when I first started listening to "system music" for the first time in my life, and I was already turning 20 years old.

Thinking about this and how a song can have such a deep impact on your life, it just baffles me when realize what a huge empty hole there is in my past, during the time when I listened to crap family music, which I wouldn't listen to again for the world. All those younger years, "the best times" of one's life, we were force fed crap. And now I don't even want to think about those years. I can only imagine how much more of a fulfilling life I'd have right now if I actually had something positive to look back to and reminisce about, a good song perhaps, a favorite TV show. But all I have to remember is crap.
