HERE'S TO THE STATE OF GEORGE W.

A new Anti-Bush Song.

I have some friends who wrote an anti-Bush song called “Here’s To the State of George W.” and we would like you to listen to it. If you are in the media, you can also use it on the air as you like. We call ourselves “Patriots Act Out” and most prefer to keep our identities anonymous for the time being. I myself don’t care and even enjoy the potential controversy.

Please visit the following link:
http://www.patriotsactout.com/studio/
There you will find a link to download the complete song as well as a link for the lyrics. It is encoded into a 160-bit MP3 so should be of exceptional quality.

Again, please feel free to use this song as you like and even forward the link to other liberal radio stations and shows. Please do not distribute this link to the public at large however. For the public, please refer them to http://www.patriotsactout.com. The “studio” link is only for the selected few.

Sincerely,
Ilmar Saar

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Here's To The State of George W.

September 11, 2004 -- What do an 18 year old international studies student, entertainment attorney, HIV/AIDS scientist, music producer, business manager, commercial photographer, audio engineer, website designer and graduate student at Columbia School of the Arts all have in common? A sincere desire to get George W. Bush out of the White House and the willingness to do something about it.

Members of this diverse group of NYC based citizens have put their heads together and re-written the venerable political anthem by Phil Ochs, "Here's to the State of Richard Nixon". Their critical analysis of the current administration is summarized in the poignant, thought provoking lyric which never indulges in cheap shots or "Bush Bashing". The patriotic sentiment of the searing chorus, "Here's to the land you're tearin' at the heart of, George Bush find yourself another country to be part of" reflects PAO's stance that George Bush and his administration are leading the country away from basic American values and into a fear-based evangelical state which ignores the most urgent environmental, economic and humanistic issues of our day.

On September 3, 2004 the song "Here's to the State of George W." was released on InGrooves.com, a digital record label which offers a free 60 second sample of the song. For more information, email PAO at patriotsactout@yahoo.com or contact PAO on their website at Patriotsactout.com.
