    This is something I wrote for a sister of the most wonderful woman in the world. Sadly, the sister is still in the family.

    Sister of mine
    In a world that's so fine
    Why do you choose
    To be misused?

    Sister of mine
    Worth the whole gold mine
    Why do you feel
    You're worth a dime?

    Oh sister dear sister
    Walk away from the misled
    Come closer now closer
    Remember tears that we shed

    Don't know how else to say it
    I just wish you were here
    We used to be so close
    So far away you choose to stear

    What madness is it that keeps
    A mind so sweet
    From seeing what it is
    You're being served up to eat

    Please take a moment to see
    That it's a twisted reality
    Keeping you from noticing
    You're surrounded by deceit

    Sister of mine
    Don't let the song of your life
    Be sung with so bitter a chord
    It's a madmans dream you follow not the lord.

    Joey, I appreciate this. I have a left-behind sister too. I would do anything to help her find her own life. But I have a feeling she never will.

    Hope is a funny ol' thing. Sometimes we don't let ourselves feel that we have it in case it gets let down and disappointed. The funny bit is that for some reason it hangs on despite our denial of it's existance.

    Your hope is as alive today as it ever was and even though hope is small comfort, don't let it go.
