Thirteen ways of looking at a blacksheep

from Cultinvator - Tuesday, December 02, 2003

A bit multivocal but such was our language

Thirteen ways of looking at a 'Black Sheep'

I

Amongst twenty faithful followers

The only contrary movement

was the hardhead of the black sheep

II

I was trinity driven

like a pyramid

Under which lay a lion, a ram, and a donkey

III

The black sheep tripped one dark morning in a wintry fall

A small detail in the 'fool’s card'

IV

A creation and a creator are one

A creation a creator and a black sheep are one

V

I do not know which to respect more

The sexy curve in twisted form

Or the sexy symbol that pivots

The black sheep's deviant song

Or just the wake after

VI

the ashes rained down the long path

and then a blizzard of sour hail plagued

a darker shadow loomed in melted snow trails

nightmare

memorized, motives

ceased

VII

O priests of brimstone

why do you worship white lambs?

do you not see the fertile will in dark goats?

Fancier in winter than frosty coats

they warm the legs

Of bored naked daughters about you

VII

I know random journeys of mirth

and catchy beats, silk white gowns

But also, that the 'ugly lamb's' scent is in

all I touch.

IX

When Judas left the fold

it marked the edge

of the last of a tree’s concentric circles, bark.

X

At the presence of the onyx scapegoat

running through chaparral

even polyamourous Magdalene

would pick up stones in shame

XI

He swam across the murky river bed

in his old yellow raincoat

At one time, he shook and spun in fright

at rear sight, a flock of ducks floating beside

which he mistakes for a dead black lamb

XII

The current picks up

The black sub floats sideways above the flow, surfing to the riverbed

XIII

It was moonless all night

the air was still and cloudy

and it rained

and it would rain

Under a proud oak tree well hung

the black sheep shook dry and then still

over the waterfall cliff

Weekly Poll

What should the weekly poll be changed to?

 The every so often poll.

 The semi-anual poll.

Whenever the editor gets to it poll.

The poll you never heard about because you have never looked at previous polls which really means the polls that never got posted.

 The out dated poll.

The who really gives a crap poll.
