Getting Through : Lighten Up
Bible Verse and Prophecy Generator | from Eric Cartman - Sunday, January 15, 2006 accessed 9375 times This is a place for people to test their memory. With all that memorizing surely we know our verses right? Ok, let me try, (clears throat) - Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more pungent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was a better cook, God busy feasting on the lamb chops, failed to notice Cain slayeth Abel. I'm glad to hear that someone agrees with me on this one, as in my experience GG is hardly the only participant on this site to hold that notion - to the contrary, it is possibly the most widely held notion on this site, judging by how derogatory terminology is so frequently used to describe someone who disagrees with the views of the individual posting.(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | From Bones Friday, January 20, 2006, 13:39 (Agree/Disagree?) I don't know man, throwing stones while strollin nekid through your glass house sounds like a suggestion that should come with a warning label. So in the interest of social responsibility I've included one: >>WARNING<< Throwing stones in a glass house without the proper application of clothing or other protective equipment, especially while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or acting like a complete asshole, can be hazardous to your health. Throwing stones in a glass house without the proper application of clothing or other protective equipment is the number one cause of accidental *castration (*Both partial and complete) among males age 18-45. It has also been shown to be a significant cause of: scratches, scrapes, cuts, lacerations, eviscerations, and amputations, among both males and females ages 18-40. Researchers have also found that throwing stones in a glass house may cause significant blood loss to the stone thrower, and/or, any additional occupants of said house. For more information please contact the glass house safety center at (123)GET-ALIFE. (reply to this comment) |
| | | | From Baxter Friday, January 20, 2006, 06:25 (Agree/Disagree?) Mate, I think I've always been respectful of your stance, even though I seriously don't share it. I am the disillusioned liberal, and you're the angry Tory boy. This I can deal with, and some of what you say I do at least empathise with, if not outright agree with. You've always been respectful of my position, even though you definitely don't share it. There have been other people on this site with strong adverse views in the past as well. For the most part I think the dialogue remained relatively civil. But this goes way beyond a difference of opinion here. I totally accept that arrogance has made a how of itself on both sides, and i can see how this might get on your nerves- it does on mine! But GG has done somewhat more than take a conservative stance. He has shown no respect to anyone else or their background or culture while insisting that we respect his. (reply to this comment) |
| | From Ne Oublie Friday, January 20, 2006, 07:52 (Agree/Disagree?) This was the distinction I was making in the post above. While our views have (frequently) been polar opposites I have been able to engage in civil discussions and debates with yourself and many others on this site. However, there have also been times when those expressing 'unpopular' views have been disrespected, even to the extent of insult or verbal abuse, for those views - a recent example being exister's comments which I commented on in the 'You Have to Believe in Something' thread. My intended point being to highlight that a code of conduct is something which should be adhered to by all, including those expressing the views of the majority. Being the 'angry Tory boy' (I dunno if I like the 'angry' part, tsk, tsk) I have found myself in agreement with some of what GG has said. But his arrogant and disrespectful conduct has made it impossible for me to support his (reply to this comment) |
