The "kings", Mr. and Mrs. Narita, they poured millions of yen into that place every month for years. At one point we had about 300 people at the HCS and in the surrounding houses. The Mr. and Mrs. would be giving 5 to 6 mil yen every month. Don't know what exactly happened but I think the Video ministry moved to the States and after that it just turned into a ghost town. | from Blingbling Friday, March 18, 2005 - 20:18 (Agree/Disagree?) The picture was taken within the last month. TF still lives there but the place looks like a run down trailer park. Everything is run down, falling apart, trash all over the place, etc. (reply to this comment)
| from Phoenixkidd Friday, March 18, 2005 - 17:33 (Agree/Disagree?) That picture must have been taken Pre-HCS, It used to be called the MBH, Masami-San had it built on top of the hill she bought as a prayer tower, or shrine, It was all grown over with trees as you see in this picture. However around 1988 the Family took it over and cut down all the trees you see lined around it and renovated the building which had turned to shambles, So looking at the this picture I believe it is pre-1988. What a freakin joke the HEavenly City School. Duh (reply to this comment)
| From tdemp Sunday, March 20, 2005, 07:52 (Agree/Disagree?) I just visited the HCS with a friend, to pick up some tools my dad left there a couple of years ago. The park is gone, Its been totally leveled. the pyramid hill is over grown an there is hell new houses all over the place. there about 40 ish people in the main building, and they still have possession of the white house, the blue house, and the brown house. as well as buildings A,B, and C. It was kind of weird going back but it was good to see the family loosing its grip on that area.(reply to this comment) |
| | From Victor Vetran and HCS furniture Sunday, March 20, 2005, 07:50 (Agree/Disagree?) No, this is recent. I visited the HCS shortly before I left Japan in 2002 and the pyramid already looked pretty much a shambles. There were only about 50 people living there and most of those people will related to the recording studios and CRO's, Phoenix and Margie. But since that time all of the above people have moved out so I don't know who is living there now. When I walked around the grounds for the last time, the pool area, the kickball/soccer field, around to the N's house, and further to the Fountain House and then back again, there were so many memories. As they say, Elvis has left the building. I was there at about the most nostalgic time possible--Autumn. There were leaves blowing around everywhere, the trees were almost bare, it was very, very sad. Only because most of my memories of growing up are there, and I have to give them up as though they never happened, so where is that part of my life? I can never take my kids back and say, "this is where I grew up. This is where we used to swim in the summer". God, how depressing. The Dorm has long since been torn down and made into a parking lot for the hotel accross the street. A lot of bad and some good memories went down with that place, and are going down with the HCS. Pitty, one day we will have no places and no items to go back to. It's like we never existed in that time and space. It was all a dream. Sob.(reply to this comment) |

| from Nick Friday, March 18, 2005 - 07:34 (Agree/Disagree?) When was that taken? What ever happened to that HCS? Do they still live there? (reply to this comment)
