Ricky to never be forgotten

It was the Saturday before Easter and almost 4p.m. the sun was low on the water at beautiful Paradise Point Resort and Spa, in San Diego California. All around the Resort happy families were vacationing and enjoying each others company. For Ricky’s memorial the location couldn’t have been better. For all of us who came to the memorial and those who couldn’t make it. The memorial was great for me and so many others. We were finally able to have a decent gathering to remember a person who cared for others more than himself. Everyone seemed to have a good time and the evening ended without incident. I’m sure Ricky would have been happy to know how he was remembered. Lets hope the next meeting does not involve morning a lost brother. Ricky said he hoped someone would pickup the torch, and after being at the memorial and meeting so many very sincere decent people I’m sure his wish will come true. I thank everyone who made the memorial happen I know there was a lot of hard work time and money that went into putting it together. Once I get permission from some of the people in the pictures I’m going to post them. Peace

Mack,

Thanks for showing up. Thank you also for wearing your uniform. I hope your time with your brothers and sisters went well.

Thank you for your kind words. It was an incredible group of attendees, tremendous persons who have done well in the face of tremendous adversity.

Be well my friend!

Tim/Jules/Exister, could we get a section where people can post (authorized by the individuals included of course) pictures from the memorial/reception party?

A page like that can be found here: http://www.xfamily.org/index.php/Ricky_Rodriguez_Memorial

It also includes a short TV clip of the event & a collection of personal accounts from people who attended.(reply to this comment
