Getting in Touch : Connections
Angelo & Sara MWM musicians | from Phoenixkidd - Wednesday, August 30, 2006 accessed 1658 times Why was Angelo arrested and thrown in Jail for so long? Okay, for any of you older ex-second Gen, I used to wonder and still do as to why Angelo of Sara at MWM thrown in Jail for so long?? What was the real charges against him and was he ever convicted. I always got the cult version that he was protecting Father David from getting caught by the police, but I am curious to know if there were any things that we didn't know about in the cult...I remember growing up with their music and always remembered him as the funny Italian man with an accent and his wife Sara could play Violin well. |

| From Capuccino Sunday, September 03, 2006, 05:59 (Agree/Disagree?) I lived with them in India and Sara was a real freak. She would have us scrub the house top to bottom for like 3 days, she would suddenly go crazy about cleanliness. They would have us kids put hydrocloric acid on the bathroom tiles and clean the grout in between with a toothbrush, my knees would be raw from the acid eating into my skin. Then she would go for about 3 weeks and not bother to do any housework except for the bare minimum sweeping and mopping the floor, and a maid would come and wash our laundry. Our clothes would be full of holes because the maid would beat the crap out of them against a rock. (reply to this comment) |
| | from NVC Thursday, August 31, 2006 - 19:13 (Agree/Disagree?) Check this link for more info about the arrests in Rome in 1979. http://www.thefamily.org/dossier/books/book1/chapter7.htm I am not fond of Introvigne and their site at all, but quite a few of the historical details concerning the arrests are correct from what I know. If I well recall Angelo was in jail in Greece because Italy asked for extradition. He wrote his personal account of the story and it was published in TF as a testimony. I am not sure xfamily has that material on their site. (reply to this comment)

| | | From vixen Thursday, August 31, 2006, 16:20 (Agree/Disagree?) Oi! What do you think you're doing posting this comment here?!? I think you planned it specifically so that it would appear at the top of the thread and less discerning readers might therefore assume that you started singing first, when in actual fact *I* am the one who is leading inspiration today! I hereby draw due notice to the fact that the Spirit moved me first (PTL, I am soooo in the spirit)! (reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | | | | | from saviour onassis Thursday, August 31, 2006 - 08:01 (Agree/Disagree?) there were some pretty cool musicians in those days--real musicians. Anyone know how to contact any of those oldtimers?--Angelo, Fogarty. Spencer? They were nice to me and seemed pretty normal. (reply to this comment)
| | | | | | | | | From vixen Thursday, August 31, 2006, 08:39 (Agree/Disagree?) Riiiight... 'Real musicians' or not, abuse is abuse and you might want to consider the possibility that while some of the above-mentioned persons might well have been reasonably nice to you, they could very well have been molesting your little girl peers, so I'd caution you to be careful in dismissing them so nonchalantly as 'seeming pretty normal'! For fuck's sake, do you think the average paedophile doesn't usually seem pretty normal? (reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | | | | | From saviour onassis Friday, September 01, 2006, 20:02 (Agree/Disagree?) this is my whole point--we weren't talking about child abusers--we were talking about musicians and the fact that there were actually a few very talented cats around at the time-but it seems all roads lead to Rome. (pun intended.) I see your point though and that you are trying to be civil. I appreciate that. I would just like to see something being done about it instead of always harping on it. Reminds me of when I was a kid and everybody always talking about what's wrong. Talking does nothing unless it's in a meeting of like intellectuals forming a plan and strategy to some end. I am not patronizing here albatross--I know you of all people know that. (reply to this comment) |
| | From ThinkTank Friday, September 01, 2006, 13:01 (Agree/Disagree?) There is no way we can have cutesy memories of a pervert who played the guitar and our private parts. If you want to talk about something neat, talk about how we have escaped, how much courage it took and how the human spirit wants to be free and it will find that way to be free one way or the other. "No damn prison cell or lies of the beast can stop liberty...lock me in chains 'cause I want to be free and I'm talking about it".(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | from vix is in the mood for love in a musical key Thursday, August 31, 2006 - 07:31 (Agree/Disagree?) Let's sing MWM songs, yay! Ah well, we'll wing it): What would you do if I told you I loved you? Well it makes me feel happy inside I'm tired of feeling all alone in this world Come on let's take a heavenly ride We'll take a heavenly ride, Side by siiiii-i-i--iide (reply to this comment)
| | | from Wednesday, August 30, 2006 - 18:53 (Agree/Disagree?) On xfamily I could only find this: http://www.xfamily.org/index.php/1981 I think I read somewhere else that the warrant was outstanding from legal investigation of the Family in Italy, for charges of prostitution and maybe some trouble with "catacombers" (that's what they call(ed) underage disciples whose Family was not "sheepy" enough to let them, like, join the home or "drop out" or whatever).
