Looking for people who lived with Rick Dupuy (Watchman)

I'm planning to write a bit about Rick Dupuy (Watchman) and would be very interested in hearing from people who lived with him at the HCS in Japan.

I believe Dupuy spoke to friends about an SGA who was with him on the "Attack Team" in Japan - does anyone know who this person was?

I believe the SGA in question was Tony from the Tony Series. I remember that Tony had a thing for Rick's wife and that Rick promised her to Tony when he "got the victory".

Rick lived on the second floor of the Narita's house. There was a long meeting at the HCS where they described the evils of the "country club". I was too busy daydreaming to remember all of what was being said...however, I remember it had something to do with outings and camping and how that was distracting members from their calling. Rick, being the offender in question, was put on the Attack Team with Tony who was in the mud for wanting to climb trees. Tony's wife, Clare, immediately confessed all and ratted out everyone she knew and was thereby given immunity. I used to see Tony & Rick around doing hard labor.

I think Tony eventually hooked up with Rick's wife and for some reason my memory tells me she was either Japanese or Asian,

This is just to provide some more pieces that could jog others memories.

Rick did not have a wife in Japan. He tried to get his wife Katrina to come but leadership never allowed that. He was sent to Japan to start the video ministry and Solo was later sent there because Rick requested to work with him. Katrina was 'rewarded' with a leadership position.

During the 4 years in Japan Rick was involved with 4 women, about one year each time. The first one was with Abi (Damaris)...she was way too concerned about politics to have real feelings for him.

The second one was with a woman called Clare (or Claire?) who did not live at the HCS. She was an FFer. Does anyone know if she is in or out? This relationship was monitored and terminated by leadership. Josiah and Peter were in charge of masterminding Rick's personal life to break him as much as possible.

The third relationship was with a woman called Ruth who was married. She got pregnant and allegedly fell in love with him. Termination of the relationship ensued.

The fourth relationship was with Charity who also got pregnant (a daughter...does anyone know where that child is today?). This relationship was also terminated by leadership.

I hope these details can help prompt some more pieces of the puzzle. (reply to this comment

I think you are thinking of Solomon Touchstone. Tony later married his wife Meekness, she was from Greece. (reply to this comment

I was there at the time as well, but it's getting harder and harder to remember names. I think the person you are thinking of is Charity (of Tim) who is of Indian descent. She had an affair with Watchman, resulting in a child. I don't recall Watchman having any wife (Asian or otherwise) while he was on the Attack Team. Most of his exorcisms and whatnot took place at the "Dorm" where I do believe he experienced most of the abuse he writes about. He suffered a lot of humiliation in front of the whole HCS who had regarded him as a very integral and important part of the IVM (International Video Ministry). Being betrayed by his best friend Solomon also probably contributed to his depression as well.

You brought back some sad memories. I remember when they instituted a program called "Talk Time" where a JETT and adult would pair up once a week for an hour or so of "Talk Time." Basically an effort to foster communication between people you would unlikely come in contact with on a daily basis. My partner was Watchman, and I always remember being in awe of him a little. I had always admired him, and never did believe the propaganda they fed us after he left, making him out to be so evil. All I can remember is thinking he was my hero for having the guts to leave, when all I could do was dream about it at night.

Speaking of....does anyone know what happened to his son, Romeo? I always wondered how it made him feel when they would receive prophecies "from Watchman from the grave" telling Romeo "never to leave the Family" and how wrong he (Watchman) had been, etc. What a bunch of liars! I sure hope Romeo is out now.

Romeo was out of TFI before his father's death. I don't know where or how he is, but I wish him well(reply to this comment
