Getting Support : Speaking Out

Warn your co-workers and friends...

Family Care Foundation in the list of Combined Federal Campaign charities to donate to.

I'm sure many of you are already of this but, just in case you didn't know, this is the time of year that military members and federal employees in workplaces across the nation and around the world are given the opportunity to donate to charities by designating a portion of their paycheck, or even giving just a one-time gift, to a charity of choice through participation in the Combined Federal Campaign.

If any of you work in an office that participates in this, you might want to warn your co-workers and friends against inadvertently supporting the "Family Care Foundation", that is listed in this year's "Heart of the Midlands" CFC brochure under the following Federal Identification Number: EIN#33-0734917, and the 4-digit code: 9961. I have already warned my co-workers, many of whom know about my past and I plan to warn my former unit as well.

I look forward to contributing to the Safe Passage Foundation in the future.

Just goes to show that under Bush's "faith-based" initiative ANY church could receive tax dollars including spurious "christian" organizations who also claim to do charity work.

Thanks for the heads up Nique, I don't know how they managed to slip themselves in there. Don't the Feds investigate the "charities" they accept?

Where's Big Brother Ashcroft when you really need him?
