Getting Real : Inside Out

Responding to posts

Hey guys…

Miss me yet? Yee ha! Anyway, it’s a very frustrating task scrolling through 84 (yes, I counted it) pages of text to find the latest additions…I don’t know how you guys do it is there a faster way?

Call me troll if you like, but the blood lust is running through my veins again. To the dirt-blown killing fields we go, I say, again and again if that is what is required by either fate or our stubborn resoluteness to stand by what we stand by—may God curse those who trod their desert-worn boots upon this hallowed, blood-stained arena for pure reason of provocation of the opponent that waits in the midst or for whatever goddamn fuck reason that reeks or dishonor or ignorance of the reason to which they reason to unreasonably these pages disgrace with their cur. Those slick, oiled sixers on our hips—let’s draw them. Too long have they been cursed to taste the cold of disuse.
On my mark, gentlemen. Last man standing takes all. May God have mercy on our souls.

:)

I’m just kidding people…you know I love you!

LOCH, I don’t anything against you or anyone on this site, or any ex-member, be they friend, contact, supporter, apostate, or downright devil-filled. I really don’t. You never did anything to me or anyone I remotely love and care about, and even though you hold in the highest disregard some of the very things that I base my life around, I cannot and will not hold you for that because seriously, it’s your own choice. If God deems you to receive well-merited recompense, let Him decide and execute. Though I occasionally violate these pages with personal attacks and slander, give me the benefit of the doubt in saying that they were let loose through moments of passion or foolishness or a combination of both. I say again, I’ve got nothing personal against any of you (even those I DO know personally), and hope you will award me the same merit.

Now.

Honky? Hey, I’d send you a photo…but…yeah. Anyway, I’m neither honky nor chink nor nigger.

MIA, I do apologize for my barrage against you. I mean, you did call me names, but aloha! One bad turn does not deserve another. Anyway, I hope you’ve re-read my initial statement on this thread and better understand what I was trying to implicate.

ANDYH, now against you I hold a personal vendetta. You’ve done nothing but make crude, crass, personal attacks against me, usually concluding your collection of words with neither head nor tail, and more often than not, saying, in the figurative sense, nothing. I want not to pick a fight with you, but “If he wants a war! I’ll give him! A war!” –General Bethlehem, The Postman.

RAINCHILD, you’re sweet. At least you don’t fail to see common sense and logic when it confronts you. Whenever I see your name I’m reminded of Evye from V for Vendetta (the whole “God is in the rain” concept). That’s meant in a good way. J

JOHNNIEWALKER, you’re a good guy too. We’ve had our spats, but honestly, you’re more level-headed and logical than I am. Ha. However…as for your thread on “confronting the leaders,” what do you purpose with that? What would that achieve? No, I don’t feel that they’re innocent, not most of them anyway, but again…what would stirring shit do other than perhaps causing it to hit the fan? And when shit hits the fan, everyone gets dirty. Anyway…I don’t believe that between people like you and I there’s a “line in the dirt.” Far as I see we’re all still working in the same company, playing the same game, albeit different roles and our eventual participation in fate either taking form presently or yet to be discovered. I don’t know. I guess time will tell.

SHAKA, torture and kill all child molestors? I don’t mind, but it’s way too much work. I’d advocate it, though. I’ll excuse your foul mouth and unreasonable rage as a reaction to some hidden trigger of something I said, perhaps linked to a deep dark and bottled bitterness over some long-since-passed wrongdoing committed directly or indirectly upon yourself or members of your family or circle of affection, or acquaintance. No need to attack my mother, though. If you’re an SGA, your mother and I have a whole lot more in common that you’d probably like. And PS, could you order me a takeaway while you’re at BK? I hear their Whoppers are pretting whoppin’ good!
Ah! REDNECK!! You again! Didn’ git enuf luvin’ frerm yer sisters or stepma wassit? Aww shucks datz cuz they in the penitentiary, getting’ boned by them nigger wardens. Ne’er mind it, but p’rhaps ye shuld look up yer own said homewerk bufor askin’ sumone else t’ do’it. Or didja wanna me to explain it ta ya?
Well, let meh translayt it fer ya. Erg bugger it. The mailman wuld have ta read it to ya anyway, and that’ wuldn’t be gud security, no would it? Nah, I reckon ye just drop by my house wit a coupla molsons and we’ll see if darn shit can’t be sorted out. If so, lawd be praised. Naht, I’ll just get my M16 and we can use yer hide to strain peas come winter.

RANDI…well, we’ve had our good days and our bad days. Yet I quote…”I suspect that you or your family left or were told to leave a while ago, in which time you got some education etc...you later rejoined, got back into your comfort zone.” Well, not to nit pick, (poor old redneck ladies who did all the knitting and picking), but I had an extremely—and I wouldn’t say marginally, but extremely—successful stint during my years working for the government of the country in which I am now residing. They worship those few of us left on this planet who can offer differing opinions and can speak outside the box without fear of being locked away in a black bag (providing said opinion is said with utmost respect and without reference of any kind to their leading heads). I was not offered the world, no, or any large portion of it, but I was offered a place in what they claimed was “the future.”

Sure, there are a lot more potentially comfortable positions one can attain in the system, but $50-80k a year, with the direct recommendation an appraisal of a brigadier general and lieutenant-colonel isn’t that bad either—considering I’d only worked under them for 1 year. No, I’d have to disagree with you when I say that I returned to my bubble of existence. I live in a home where I toil and boil to keep it afloat, I don’t have a gf, and other than sex with outsiders, the only other available option is a bitch who hates my guts and would rather entertain affairs with married men than give me the time of day.

Everyone’s life is different, yes, so I won’t generalize, but in my case I slaved away and the system put on…and hey, they sure went to town. I’m not in TF cuz it’s easy, hell no. I’m here cuz it’s my calling. It’s where I belong. I’m sorry you chose to leave, I really am. Brilliant minds are always a plus. In fact, so many of you guys here on this site are real awesome and it’s too bad we’re not working together striving for the same goals. Differences aside, I’d love to work alongside the most of you.

PS—LJ stuff? Erm…hehe…guilty as charged.

PPS—“If this sight isn't helping you to re think your life choices....I suggest you get off it. It is rather amusing for us to have you here...at least we have a laugh...but what does it do for you?” On contraire, this site really has made me think things out, I went through an extremely difficult week when I first discovered this site and read some of the stories, many kind of which were a first for me. I’m not going to bother to give my reasons, but the storm is passed, and I’m just as resolute as I was before. What does it do for me, oh I don’t know. I like to think it settles some issues that might otherwise come up when I’m unprepared, and, of course, it helps me get a little intellectual buffet—something that’s kinda hard to find anywhere, be it TF or outside.

HYDRA.

Para 3—I take personal offense on that one. Reading comprehension, command of my goddamn mother tongue, and manipulation of syntactical structure is what I was put on this planet to do, dearest. People like you are what I practice on. I know SAT’s are debatable, but how many people do you know who scored a PERFECT SCORE for language arts?

Para 4—oh dear. Trip fall stumble bit tongue bleed and beg for forgiveness. I know what I know because I am working as an intern in Merrill Lynch (perhaps, dearest dear, you’ve heard of us), assisting the director of the IRA department. Hmmm. PS—I never said United States. Where I come from, a 1040 is what I used during my military days to send serviceman to prison.

Para 6—I do. You, however, if you are an American, DID NOT CHOOSE to be a citizen.

Furthermore, as for you scholastics, how many public schools have you personally attended? Say, are you teacher? Yes, I am. Well, not any more, but I was, and I have extensive experience dealing with schools, namely international schools—not so much in the government sector, although I believe I’ve seen more than you do. I’d have to had seen more, judging but what you’re spouting.
Definition of “teacher,” in my lingo, anyway, is someone who has attended a officially recognized course, passed, and is certified to educate children of a certain age bracket, and who possesses the necessary documentation to back this claim. Yes, I do have all of this. No, I’m not going to try to prove it to you. No, I don’t mean a 4-year master’s or such long and lengthy crap, most of which teaches you nothing.
No, I don’t mean to imply that 4 adults stayed home to teach 5 children. I am stating such.

RAINCHILD again…your adieu was received most cordially and returned with what I hope is an equal measure of affection. As for insults, we’ve all sullied our hands slinging our own shit, dontcha think? J You’re a little biased…hehe (“It's not easy to go up against this lot (truth and logic being on their side and all)”), but aren’t we all? Anyway, I just thought I’d share the revelation with you that I have found truth and logic…I hope you’ve found yours too…and I also hope one day our views will be more alike than opposing, and definitely more alike than they are now. Perhaps you’d like to keep in touch?

ANDY! Hey, I think you’re an asshole too! Cool, no? You’re either dumping shit, getting fucked, or in the cases of those sickos like me, getting fucked while you’re trying to dump shit. I you’re your life stops spiraling downwards and just leaps straight off the banister.

However, some points remain to be straightened out (like the rod of judgment I intend to share with you should we ever meet). 1: No, I would not stand idly by as a kid gets raped—even if that kid was yours. Even if that kid was you! I’d probably severe said tool of rape and feed it to him. Or, wait a minute, naw, you’re right! I’d give him your address and ask him to so kindly give me 14% commission of what you’ll pay him to have your shit-dripping anus reamed!

With all that said, let me close with the words of one who holds the rather hallowed position of “Temporary Almost Near Favorite Artist:”

“What’s the worst thing I can say, things are better if I stay: So long and good night, so long and good night. We have to carry all this weight, things are better if I stay: So long and good night, so long and good night.”

My dear General Bethlehem,

If you're looking for a particular quote, you can always use you browser's "find in page" feature. For Firefox it's Ctrl-F.

So let me get this straight: you'd happily torture and kill all child molesters (you advocate it even), unless of course they claim to be God's anointed prophets/wine-tasters.-In which case you'll GLADLY subsidise their fucked-up lifestyle with 14% of your income and 100% (110% if you do Family math) of your time. What if David Berg/Karen Zerby/Steve Kelly was doing the raping? (as they have been repeatedly accused of doing) Would they be fair game then? Would you "severe(sic) said tool of rape and feed it to him"? Is it just that it has to be in front of you to be wrong or is it actually OK, because they're them? Please explain.

Man, it sure must be nice to outsource all your higher thought processes to WS. Saves SOOO much effort, doesn't it? Oh, sorry, I forgot: you've been told You Don't Need To Care, therefore, You Don't Care, Devil be damned! You callous, dumbass, cretinous, schmucktard arsebiscuit amnesiac!

For some inexplicable reason, you seem to be fixated on putting your cock (or imagining the whereabouts of "Nigger Wardens'" cocks... aren't I spoiled for choice?) into my relatives. I don't suppose it's germane to this conversation to mention that I don't have any sisters, is it? -Oh, wait, you've dedicated your entire life to being a "career missionary in The Family", and as a woman-in-the-spirit "New Bride" and as-such are already taking a golden J-load thrice a day in your spirit-gina, so I guess my imaginary sister/stepmother/pet sheep isn't really too much of a stretch, when you (don't) think about it. Honestly dude, posting your "wit" on movingon is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Stop. Please. Even if you have to rewind "The Postman" again and watch it unblinkingly for the 37th time. Yet. Again. (Seriously though, is that the only "rated" movie on your local Video Circuit?) There's a reason you "stand alone", O Godsmacking one: your blathering reeks like a festering bubo on the taint of a spineless gibbering mandrill and nobody in their right mind would side with your irrational views, -not even Jesus F. Christ himself. If I were a French footballer, I'd headbutt you in the chest.

(*actually Jesus (the whole Trinity really, it was a Teamwork prophecy) prefers a gentler touch than smacking when you're making sweet, sweet love to him in the back of your home's '85 15-seater van. He told me to tell you. In Prophecy. I claimed the keys (to my heart, and more importantly, my chastity belt!) and everything!1!!)

Now as for "having something against" you, my primary beef is that you have willingly chosen your current situation, (warts, creeps, and all) over something inarguably better: freedom. I'm willing to wager that you interpreted your entire time in the "system" through the "system equals hell, family equals happy" POV that you were inculcated with since birth, and as such were unable to experience happiness on the outside. All you had to do was go crawling back like the proverbial Prodigal Son to Mama where you felt warm and safe from those nasty systemite army guys. You know what the real screamer is? You're taking almost verbatim GNs and quoting them as "your" opinion. Here's a clue-by-four upside the head for you: Mama's not the prophet of God, she's a very naughty girl! You say you toil and work hard for your home, and I don't have any reason to say it's not so. You may be working hard, but what are you accomplishing really? "Saving Souls", eh? You really have to be in The Family for that, huh? So says Mama, and so parrots you. Fucking priceless.

Although I don't know what your skin colour is (although if "dumbass" was a race, damn skippy you'd stand out in a crowd of movingoners), I frankly don't care, as it's not a measure of anything at all. What I do care about is having a little more class than calling persons of African descent "niggers". I know your inbred little ass isn't expected to know much of the outside world, but the rule is: only black people can say the N word in public without giving offense. And even then, some people are still going to be offended at that word. Ditto for "chink"/"gook"/ et al. I have to presume this is merely Yet Another Thing GenBethlehem Doesn't Care About. But "Honky"? Seriously? I mean, it's almost a law: White people aren't allowed to get offended at racial slurs. In practice, generally we aren't offended either. Speaking of which, I'm genuinely amused that you call me a redneck, though. I do confess to having a farmer's tan at the moment and perhaps that's the confusion. ;) Just 'cause you don't seem to get it: a "roughneck" works on an oil rig, -something I used to do back in the day. (I've thought of registering a new nickname, but I haven't seen any crap-movies-worth-adopting-the-villians'-name-from lately. Maybe tonight's the night!). A redneck is a hick. One can be both simultaneously, but I'm actually neither at the moment. Clear enough for you, General Dumbshit?

I just know you're going to come back with the "b-b-b-but s/he said (blank) first!!!1!" defense. After all, you've done so once already in the other thread. To you, this I ask, paraphrasing a Good Thots anecdote: Why do you let other people decide how you are going to act? Bear in mind when answering that you are supposed to be held to a higher moral standard than us filthy systemites. Unless you're just another hypocrite who doesn't actually practice what you say you believe in, of course.

My take is that you're trying to sound "hip" and "with it" and as if you've made such an "informed" choice by bragging about what you "could have been" if you'd "wanted". Seriously man, all that really tells me, (and anyone objective), is that you've probably got the talent, but lack the ambition to make something of yourself. No, a Career Missionary In the Family doesn't qualify as a good use of intellect. A career Medical Missionary, perhaps. All it really takes to be a Family member is a massive capability for suspension of disbelief and a developing case of Alzheimer's. In fact, if you read your precious GNs, you'll discover that "brilliant minds" aren't an asset at all to continued Family Membership. Remember Flesh or Spirit? You are your own worst enemy?? Anyone...? Bueller..??

A lot of people are stupid, and are unsuccessful (or culties) because of it, but it takes a special kind of idiot to screw their shit up in spite of themselves. I guarantee (no cash refunds) that the minute you choose to leave TF your "testimony" will turn into a big lump of I'madumbshit. Just thought I'd save you the time and trouble, if at all possible.

Anyhoo, feel free to reply to receive further insights into (and Ad Hominem insults regarding) your current pathetic condition. It's what I'm here to do.

The comment in question is meant to be outlandish, to express the animosity of the person who says it, and to intimmidate the person it is said to. Like when it was said to me in Basic, over and over.

You should have a basic idea of what I consider to be right and wrong from what I've said online. It saddens me that you would group me in with the likes of Lyndie England, but I suppose the strereotype is fair, based on our history. This is one of the main reasons I am separating from the Army.

Andy, I think we have a Baron Münchhausen wannabe in our midst.

Seriously.

In his comments either directly or indirectly, he's told us that he's a male between 19 and 22 years of age, is of Asian decent and that he lives in the Family in the Asia/Pacific. English is his mother tongue and that he had a crappy education in the Family.

Then it starts getting good: He crammed three years of high school into a few months of time. Even though he is not an American -- or at the least would not choose to be an American given free choice -- he sat for the SAT exams and scored a perfect score on the language section.

Then he left the Family, during which time he joined the military and clerked for officers for a year and they paid him between $50,000 and $80,000 for that year.

He later returned to the cocoon of his birth where he now toils and sweats masochistically to keep the home afloat financially, he does outreach and fundraising, is involved in charity efforts that he believes in and also finds time to intern for Meryll Lynch in the IRA department.

He also apparently owns an M16 and his country spends a larger percentage of their GDP than any other nation to ensure that they are "the best". (As per the link on this page, North Korea spends a larger precentage of any other country, I believe followed by Oman and then Angola).

Let him keep talking, the stories will get better. :)

Let's call spades spades and misinterpretations what they are. Your story above (and said reply below) is fanciful, and anyone who claims all to be true would definitely be among colleagues of Don Quixote.

Whether the vox populii here are interested or not, I'd like to settle the tab.

Male, 19-22, eurasian mix, FD TFI member, asia/pacific. English is my mother tongue, and my education, in my opinion, is the BEST anyone of my age could have received, whether in TF or out.

I did cram 10-12th grade all in 2002, but through magic, but working 8-16 hours a day on the days I wasn't on OR (4-6 days/week). No, I'm not American, and, no, I would not choose to be. Yes, I took the SAT's anyway and scored 2200++. FYI, the US has one of the lowest national average SAT scores internationally.

I was out of TF for a number of years, commissioned as an officer in the military (was not a clerk, mind you), and OFFERED a 50-80k starting pay as a career officer, but declined.

No, I don't own an M16, silly. It was purely an allegorical claim.

I take back the "largest GDP claim," and reinsert it as "one of largest among the developed countries."

"Apparently he is also an English teacher and translator"

Former, yes; latter, no; I never said that.

And in conclusion, yes, dear, "brevity is the soul of wit." Also:

Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. This requires not that the writer make all his sentences short, or that he avoid all detail and treat his subjects only in outline, but that every word tell. See, I can quote E.F. White too. Apparently he is also an English teacher and translator in his country. I pity the poor souls in his care who are forced to hear his ramblings. His writing style can be compared to a fifth-grader who has just stumbled upon a thesaurus and proceeds to change coherent sentences into incoherent babble—believing that the more he says, and the obscurer the words used, the more he will project an image of knowledge. He would do well to learn that “brevity is the soul of wit.” (reply to this comment

Reviewer:
Andrew Beaton "lyrical chef" (Venice, CA) - See all my reviews
The Postman: A movie so atrociously stupid, so egregiously absurd, so stunningly idiotic, it is easily one of my favorite films. I agree with the featured reviewers in one sense only: you really should see this movie.

I was astonished to see the vast number of glowing reviews on this page. I'm guessing most of them were written by America's postal carriers. There's a reason the critics savaged The Postman when it first came out. Its script is ridiculous and its drama beyond maudlin. The underlying theme - that a restoration of the postal service is the first step towards bringing freedom and justice back to a destroyed USA - is simply laughable. Kind of like the entire film!

Costner is at his worst as the Postman, an aimless drifter who spins a web of lies to get a free meal and then runs from his post as soon as the downtrodden start to feel better about themselves. Olivia Williams plays his love interest, yet another woman seeking Costner's seed in a postapocalyptic future. Supporting cast includes Larenz Tate as the Postman's sidekick Ford Lincoln Mercury; Daniel von Bargen, a classic "that guy" who delivers the great line: "RIDE, POSTMAN!"; and Tom Petty, who at first appears to be the mayor of a village on the Hoover Dam, until the Postman says "Hey, aren't you famous", and Petty replies, "I was, once." That's when you realize that TOM PETTY IS PLAYING HIMSELF. It's the kind of jaw-droppingly awful moment that typifies this film.

The very entertaining villain, General Bethlehem, is played by Will Patton, who apparently was living on a diet of scenery during the shoot. Try keeping a straight face when he bellows lines like "I was AT the Battle of Georgetown, I saw the White House BURN to the GROUND!!!"

I also agree with Lauren, this joker can't be for real. It's probably some bored Family teen who wandered onto our site, got freaked out from a heavy dose of free thinking and is lashing back wildly in every direction, in order to try and reaffirm his crumbling faith in The Family.

He doesn't respond to questions, or answer any allegations. In the entire time he has been posting here he has only been able to produce one defense for The Family: They have to keep existing because they need to exist.

No reason is given as to why they need to exist, other than the apparent fact that he needs his safe cocoon from reality. I can sympathize with this, leaving the cult and facing real life was a cold hard journey for me too. I hope he finds his way when he’s ready. (reply to this comment

Didn't quite understand everything you said to me up there...sorry. You said your physical life was great or had "future" in the "system" as you called it...( you're between 19 to 22, what kind of job was that?) In any case....as I'm certain you know, it's not so much the physical aspect of leaving TF that is tough, it's the psychological part that can be difficult to deal with....One must struggle through (Note the word "through" because it does get better.) intense feelings of loneliness and lack of support, emotional isolation, making friends with people you don't feel you can relate to, fitting in Gen, bad memories, self-esteem problems....etc etc. These emotions and more, can be overwhelming, causing one to "retreat" so to speak...I did not say that TF was an easy place to be....I hate communal living etc...but it's what you know...Prison isn't easy either, but a lot of ex-convicts try to return after getting out...they're willing to give up their freedom for their "comfort zone." Odd, but so true.

I don't get you at all Gen....Life is meant to be enjoyed, lived to the full...You said that man's purpose in life was to persue happiness. Can't say I agree with that entirely, but those were your words. Why are you in a situation where you have to struggle so hard, at your age, to keep your "home" afloat? There's no girls around that you can hang with. In general, Gen, it does not sound too "inspiring." Is it because you think Jesus wants you to sacrifice? SACRIFICE, SACRIFICE...it's just a bit heathen for me to grasp. I don't know how TF does it, but they get people to "sell out" so easy.....you have to sacrifice so damn much, and for what??? Most religious organizations pay their missionary's or pastors...but you guys pay your leaders....it's so backwards.

Gen, I don't think you belong in TF...and you know it, that's why you're on this sight.....your investigating, you want to be "converted." (Or you're just lonely and want someone to talk to, I think it's a bit of both) In general you're a bit of a paradox, your arguments just don't hold water.

Just remember intelligence is not about how many words you know, or how much knowledge you have, it's what you do with it that counts.

Why can't one gain satisfaction from something other than that reputedly enjoyable state of being 'happy'? Surely the pursuit of that it not the actual reward. You said, "As for your thread on “confronting the leaders,” what do you purpose with that? What would that achieve? What would stirring shit do other than perhaps causing it to hit the fan?"

Here's what it would achieve: It would consolidate your choice. It would give you the assurance that you've dedicated your life to something you can be proud of. Sure, it might be a selfish motive, but selfishness is not always a bad thing -- especially when it comes to dedicating your life to something.

Did you know that since 1999, The Family has been losing an average of 10% of its core members every year? At that rate, they'll be down to about half their current membership by the time you reach your middle 30s. By the time you're 50 they'll be down to a literal Gideon's band. Are you OK with that?

I'd bet anything The Family wouldn't lose as many members if Maria and Peter simply said, "The buck stops here. We F'ed up big time and hurt a lot of people in the process. We're going to have to live with the knowledge of that fact for the rest of our lives. We know we can't undo the damage we've done, but by God we're going to try." I think that would not only strengthen the current members' trust in them, but would also make a world of difference to the hundreds of former children who still live with the scars of the wounds The Family's leaders inflicted.

Besides, what's wrong with shit hitting the fan? Is that what you're afraid of? Are you saying you'd rather accept the shit than make the effort to get rid of it? Didn't think so.

You said elsewhere on this site that, in your unbiased opinion, those who left were weak, bitter and confused. I think that's an uninformed opinion.

I wasn't weak in my faith when I left the Family. I still considered myself a sold-out Christian.

I wasn't bitter when I left The Family. I was disappointed -- disappointed in myself for having wasted my time; Disappointed in The Family's leaders for caring more about covering their own asses than about making amends with those they hurt; Disappointed in my parents for failing to protect me from the abuses I experienced.

I wasn't confused when I left The Family. I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted my children raised unaffiliated to a group lead by people who through their promotion, suggestion and guidance, were responsible for the sexual abuse of their father. I wanted to disassociate myself from Maria, the woman who initiated (and still defends) the Victor program I went through. I wanted to raise my children in an environment where they are free to question everything, free to doubt, free to come to their own conclusions on any subject without ever being made to feel that they are outside of that capricious concept called "God's highest will".

GenBethlehem, you've made up your mind about staying in the Family and I respect and admire that. I have no intention of swaying your opinion against your leaders. But I am urging you to make a difference.

As a person who has dedicated their life to The Family, you underestimate the power you have over The Family's future. You fail to realize that you and your peers will someday *be* The Family's leaders.

Is The Family of today something you would be proud to be in charge of?

That's really great! But I wonder why you hang around here with the rest of these who gripe, then pounce on those who bring that to their attention or who disagree with them.

Anyway, I'm sorry I wasn't able to make much of a difference here, other than stir shit that some people would rather sit on, but take it for granted that's not my plan with TF nor the rest of my life. If there's something good and outstanding in the future that I've been a part of, perhaps I'll drop you a line and let you know it was me. :)

You said, "But I wonder why you hang around here with the rest of these who gripe, then pounce on those who bring that to their attention or who disagree with them."

First, I don't "hang around here". I have a busy schedule and can afford only a few minutes a day to browse the posts here. You'll find the same is true for most of the participants here.

Second, you only think everyone is griping because you've been repeatedly told that's what we do on here. Contrary to what we all were taught in TF, venting about bad experiences in the past is not a bad thing. It helps you work through the problem and deal with it.

The Family doesn't realize it, but MovingOn is one of the best things that ever happened to them. It has given those who felt victimized by the group a chance to deal with their issues on their own with the support of peers, thereby sparing The Family a potentially large burden that was dutifully theirs.

What you see on this Web site is the full spectrum of the process one goes through after leaving the Family. Most people come here, vent, and move on.

You say you think I'm logical? Well, guess what? I owe that to MovingOn. Posting here has forced me to analyse my thoughts and feelings and put them into words clearly. It has taught me to avoid accepting things at face value and jumping into conclusions. It has helped make me the successful man I am today.(reply to this comment

Well, to each his own. If this place helped you, wonderful, but I did not form the opinion that people come here to "gripe" from what "leadership" told me, but from pure observation of the posts.

If "venting" assists in the healing process, again, wonderful, but does said venting include bashing ideas, opinions, and individuals who do not coincide perfectly with one's own? Furthermore, if this place is a place to hear and be heard, to speak one's own voice and see what comes of it, then why the almost unilateral elation at the notion that I might have discontinued posting on this blog? Almost as if you guys want to say whatever you want (which is fair), yet not hear anything that contradicts.

(I guess that's fair, too, but how does that tie in with "thinking for yourself"?)

I understand that several members here have the goal (if I may be so bold to say so) to "win" TFI members out of the organization. But if anyone is interested to hear the truth, seeing how most of you guys talk to anyone who disagrees with you or offers differing POV's, it only reinforces the idea that all ex-members are "baddies." Of course I know this isn't true (far as I'm concerned, nothing on this site has changed the way I see anything), but really, intelligence and uncivility can be offered in the same sentence.

Anyway, I don't see further sense in continuing on this site. The only forecast I see is hundreds of pages of crossfire, thus rendering me the unsightly term of troll.

"Methinks GenCumRecepticle needs a new screen name. General Bethlehem (from "The Postman") may have been a royal prick but a little pussy ghost-humping bitch he was not. Oh and GenBethy boy, normally I try to shy away from insulting people's mothers and if I do I apologize, but in your case I'm happy to make an exception you whorespawn."

That's right you little fellatio machine for jeebus, your mother and mine did have much in common. I say "did" as she died of cancer after a year in horrible agony during which I might add, your precious leaders did not lift a finger to help her after 35 years of faithful blind service. At the very end it was left to her real family, the ones who so evilly tried to "turn her head from the plow", to bring her back to the US, pay for her hospital bills, and bury her when she finally died after renouncing your damn cult for the hypocrites you are. Just sucks that it took that long for her to realise it. As far as I'm concerned she's paid her dues. And no, that is not the "deep-seated" trigger that set me off. It's no isolated "incident" that I harbour grudges against. It's a constant unbroken string of horrible crimes commited against, myself, my sisters, my brothers, my wife, and my friends that brings me to tell you that everyone of you who continue to support people who so callously caused pain to children deserve the same treatment given to those who personally commited the crimes. And yes, that would preferably be a death with a blunt, rusty, serrated instrument of some kind chipping slowly away at your extremities. That is of course, the ones who know of the abuse and continue to give support. I'll admit that there are still some poor, dumb fucks in there are still totally clueless as to the leadership's involvement in the torture of children. Their only crime is retardation.

Oh yeah, and don't make moronic comments about a "personal vendetta" against anyone here. What are you gonna do, call Andy names and give him a computer STD? I'm sure his life won't be majorly inconvenienced by any "vendetta" you've got going on your end of the cyber world. The dude's my fellow soldier; he would whoop your sorry ass from here to kingdom come as would about a thousand other people on here should you ever be dumb enough to make your comments in one of our faces personally. So kindly keep your vendettas between you, your latest spirit helper and your prayer/jerk-off time.

And take comfort in your pathetic beliefs while you can. I assure you that your children and grandchildren will all grow up and die of old age on this here planet. No, Genny. Jeebus is not coming back any day now to have orgies with all of you in New Jerusalem. Sorry, dude. But the number of villages you are going to rule and reign with his divine love are going to be exactly zero. And your crown, instead of looking like a Vegas showgirl's headpiece with all the stars/souls in it, will be a ring of cobwebs and dust while you rot in your casket with nothing to show for your life but a provisioned tux.

Btw, didn't Queenie Peter and the blind Biaatch tell you people not to come on this site? Don't you know that there are hitch-hiking spirits here? Your spirit is not being uplifted right now and you are taking time away from temple time. Go quickly, and tell jesus you're sorry with some hearty fucky-sucky.

My eyes glazed over at that first paragraph. But hey, I'm so disappointed, after all those carefully crafted posts I put in, I didn't even get a customized message here! Pooey!

K, this then going out to Big Sis, Lisa, Neez, Vixen, and all those others whom I omitted.

Anyway, it wasn't meant as a farewell or a letter to all who wrote me. It was merely a one-time response to those whom I hadn't responded yet...

BTW still waiting for your reply, Big Sis. (reply to this comment
