I don't know if you'd consider them metal, or even if they are still a band. But the Spencer kids have a website that proclaims their band's authenticity. Koa Spencer. They look like pretty rad guys, ask anthony for the website address.

They sound pretty good. I probably wouldn't brag about being Jeremy Spencer's kids in their bio though.

Just looked at Jeremy's personal site (noshit: http://jeremyspencer.com/). I think it's funny his bio completely neglects to mention the 30-40 years he spent in a top position in a cult. The closest he comes to explain this 40 year gap is this; "Since leaving Fleetwood Mac, I've been playing music and using my talents to promote social causes worldwide." lol(reply to this comment

The music is mediocre anyway. I don't see any 2nd stage with Avril or anything. Not that OPLEXiCON is so much to brag about (my band). The album will be released in a few weeks.

And not that Avril is one to be 2nd to (love those lips), but whatever, I was thinking something along those lines. Musicians who write songs who bank on the female frontperson thing.

Then again, I dunno if she doesn't write any.(reply to this comment

a genuine case of rampaging PC overkill (how very late last century of them!), combined with poor reading comprehension....

"black metal" was referred to, ie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_metal

and I can only assume our wonderfully bright editor didn't do their google check (again) before frantically donning their magical PC cape and hat (stockings optional), and banishing such remarks to loxmyf land....but really, who cares?

Nothing of the sort. The moderators of this site don't censor anything unless the author gives their permission. The lock means that the thread is private (there are a couple of those on this site).

If the author of that comment didn't request making the thread private, then it might possibly be a coding error(???).(reply to this comment

Seeing as the owner of the locked comment in question received no such invitation to private thread, nor would have accepted one (regardless of how blessed they would have been to have had a personal chat with a real demon :O), I would have to settle for "coding error" as the excuse of choice, although, "wanton coding error" is more applicable. - In which case "censorship" is probably the best definitive. a DB glitch might explain it if JudasChrist wasn't the editor of this section, and apparently able to lock comments at will.

The editors response to the "below individual" and subsequent locking of his comment seems to suggest otherwise.

It also suggests he is easily offended. Unless "Oh" means something entirely different over there.(reply to this comment

How does one go about initiating a 'private' thread? And once done, how would the appropriate users gain access to that thread?(reply to this comment
From I found this..
Monday, October 17, 2005, 07:00

(

"will be discussing this with the other Editors, to see how we want to handle this, but we'll probably have private threads as a request option, if somebody wants to start a private discussion, they can e-mail the editor and get a lock put on the thread. The thread would then be limited to whichever people they choose to involve in the issue. Threads would only be made private if the users request it, and they would still be free to "Unlock" their comments at any time if they feel they want to go public. Another option would be to have threads where everyone can read what's being written, but only certain people can post."

Oplexicon is an awesome name for a band, if I was to start an ex band, which I won't, how about, "Kill Peter," or "Ricky's Revenge," "Completely out of it," I think this could be an interesting thread. Sorry mister gothsmack but I think Vandaric Apostasy is kind of retarded actually. Post the mp3s, it would be good to hear it. Some rants against the Zerb put to some thrashing head banging riffs would be awesome. (reply to this comment

The Vandaric name...is kinda..

But not saying OPLEXiCON is better...OK, I AM but yea, the name Vandari has a bad "band" ring to it perhaps....Not that it has to have a "good" one, rythm rather.

OPLEXiCON is like BEHEMOTH, SUFFOCATION, VITAL REMAINS, AGAROPHOBIC NOSEBLEED, Nifelheim, Vehemence, Morbid Angel etc.

We have some Anti Zerbeisms, AntiChrist/REligion etc.

I Am the only former member in the band which is comprised of 2 other SoCal residents.

I Am also in a more Progressive Metal Band (as opposed to Black/Death Metal), which Oplexicon is called BitterFRost, with a Swedish mate of mine...that too will be available soon.
