A new site for comments on MyConclusion.com is available at http://www.myreaction.net/

Since the creators of MyConclusion.com have disabled user comments and reject submissions which do not contain positive viewpoints about The Family/Children of God cult, a new site, MyReaction.net, has been created to provide a forum for commentary on articles posted at MyConclusion.com.

Everyone is welcome to post articles and comments there.

The site is still under development and may be redesigned at some point. If you have any suggestions for its improvement, you can email wordpress@myreaction.net

Perhaps JW can put a link on this site, alongside the myconclusion link?

You should use a hotter bird on that main page. A smiling one. Doesn't have to look so cynical from the get-go does it? If you ignored the content, myconclusion looks more um, friendly and therefore appealing.

That just makes me so sick. Can't we be about being REAL rather than following the Family's revolting practice of everyone ALWAYS having to be beautiful and smiling? I havent looked at the site, but your attitude nauseates me. On the bright side, You could have a future advertising in saccharine magazines that cater to people who'd rather look at a smiling face than bother to use their own brains.(reply to this comment

Your opinion, my opinion, rainy.

Whether you like it or not, in this not so perfect world, people judge books by the cover. If you are in the business of selling your point and moving people, then yes, presentation is all important. If you just want to sit on the dock of the bay singing to yourself, then fine, screw the audience and do what you want. Watch the clouds roll away.

I never said we should FAKE or always SMILE. I do however, think it is only fair that the site itself carry a neutral atmosphere, and let the content speak for itself. Why should the site itself carry any direction or connotations, negative or positive? The content is supplied by various participants, and as such, there is no one REAL face to it.

We have MovingOn as a place where we can be ourselves. Sometimes, we go too far in being what ugly monsters we like, and have recently degraded the atmosphere of this site. While I enjoy the madness and mayhem to some extent, I think it's not newbie friendly, not GP friendly. Since it isn't meant to be, it's ok.

From what I understand, the myreaction site is a collection of rebuttals to myconclusion.com. As such, it's really for publicity, and caters to GP who don't share our experiences.

I was concerned that the general atmosphere, at a glance, came across quite cynical and negative, compared to myconclusion.com. Is it worth it, putting on your best frown, and giving someone a bad impression before speaking to them?

Anyway, we are debating a moot point, as it seems the face of myreaction has been drastically improved, and become quite neutral. (reply to this comment

WTF? Are we selling L'oreal on the site or just expressing our truths? Please Oddie. Anyone reading this stuff is going to be searching for truth, not wanting to be advertised to.(reply to this comment

I'm not disputing that, rainy. I would explain my opinion further, but since the page is already changed, there's little point to that.(reply to this comment
