Getting Real : Tea for Two

The Skeleton

from Tea - Friday, August 23, 2002
accessed 1024 times

The Skeleton

It used to have flesh
and hair too,
though the latter was first
to bite the dust.

But then, and only then,
when by-and-by
had run its course,
time looking on...

The Skeleton

Hungry… it did eat
of its flesh, and hair too,
though of the matter it said,
"Survive, I must!"

The Skeleton

Now bitter,
but not full,
not rich,
but no fool,

sat squat-like
and hungry...
in deep,
deep thought,
with a slight rocking back and forth

saying softly to itself,
"No food,
no meat
nor anymore flesh to eat..."

The Skeleton

In darkness...
in hunger...
and in silence
sat
and said while sitting,
and it spooked itself as it spoke:

"Yummy brains. I shall miss them!"

Weekly Poll

What should the weekly poll be changed to?

 The every so often poll.

 The semi-anual poll.

Whenever the editor gets to it poll.

The poll you never heard about because you have never looked at previous polls which really means the polls that never got posted.

 The out dated poll.

The who really gives a crap poll.
