It offers us former SGAs support but it should be a resource for current members who may be having doubts about the group. Something that really upsets me though, is the way the cult leadership prohibits its members from going to "ex" Family websites. There is no way for them to monitor it really, but I remember how easily I fell for all their crap. My sister who is still in would not even open the James Penn articles that I sent her and she wouldn’t dream of logging on to this site. (reply to this comment)

They forbid the sites because only an ex-member would really know what the Family was like as compared to the "system" and the rights and expectations in the world outside. Especially in the case of SGs. They malign the "bitter" ex-members, but who else has been injured by the Family other than the ex-members? Of course people who were not involved in the Family will not be "bitter" about their experiences as members of the Family because they were not members.(reply to this comment) |
