| from Ex-member Tuesday, September 12, 2006 - 13:58 (Agree/Disagree?) Hey was anyone still 'in' New years of '98? I was with this small SGA team in Siberia (we were still gung ho about the work we were doing although very alienated from TF and the mailings) and I remember this incredibly entertaining "prophecy" about some sort of cheerleading event in "heaven." Some poor idiot in WS had obiously been having too much loving jesus time while on acid and there was this in depth description of colors and banners etc. Me and my best friend were just rolling around in bed laughing hyterically reading it and her older sister Ro (may she rest in peace) was trying, halfheartedly, to get us to be more respectful cuz she was supposed to be the VS but it was obvious she was equally amused which is the only reason we were reading it in the first place....I don't remember much actual content but it's a happy memory with my friends...thanks for stirring it up. =) (reply to this comment)

| | | | | | | from PDanni Saturday, July 29, 2006 - 19:43 (Agree/Disagree?) Kelvin, Interestingly, I found this site for the same reason that you posted your comment. Being that tomorrow is "Shondo Sunday" at, (I imagine the same church where you attend), I put the word "shondo" into the Google search engine to try and seek out the meaning. I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on this subject. (reply to this comment)
| From gzusni Sunday, July 30, 2006, 09:42 (Agree/Disagree?) Grace & Peace! Yes!!! Very interesting! My reasons for finding out what the word meant is that i was not familiar with it. Once i heard that t-shirts were going to be made, I really wanted to know the definition. I searched far and wide for information. I went as far as emailing various Pastors and Teachers of the faith in regards to "shondo". No one had ever heard of the word or knew any information about it. Noel Jones suggested, and i quote: "Thank you for your request we have research this as far as I can go the prefix word from (Shun) means: "But shun profane and vain babblins for they will increase unto more ungodliness." 2nd Timothy chapter 2:16 other than that you might consider to pray and ask God to reveal it to you and under the word Shondo there is no word in the vines, hebrew-greek or the strong concordance." I may be a little backwards in my beliefs and thoughts, but i don't think we are using the word for what it was intended for... No disrespect to Pastor T. at all. For myself, I need to have more information about "shondo" before i start using it. If someone were to question me what the word "shondo meant on my t-shirt, i couldn't tell them. The bible says, "Study to show thyself approved unto God..." 2Timothy 2:15. Oddly, this scripture comes one verse before the one Noel mentioned...Humm! Needless to say, I did not purchase a T-Shirt. | | From The Devil ® Monday, July 31, 2006, 00:52 (Agree/Disagree?) 'Shondo' is actually a sexual position that Jesus said Michael Archgabriel showed him how to do I don't know how to explain it to you mere mortals(you'd have to ask Jesus that. He knows everything), but I can tell you that it includes about two thirds of the book you call 'Kama Sutra'. And if you humans tried it with your pathetic skeletal structures, you would be paralysed for life. And just in case you were wondering, God created hallucinogenic drugs the day before he started the whole milky way mess. I'm guessing that's also why it took him so long. I mean why did it take ye-olde-great-one seven freakin' days to make something that I could've shat out in 5 minutes!? Carry on.(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | From Ex-member Tuesday, September 12, 2006, 13:30 (Agree/Disagree?) LMFAO!!!! You guys are making me laugh out loud at work (LHM for not redeeming the time on my lunch break) and people are starting to stop by my desk and ask why....I almost feel bad for the poor little church dudes who wandered, stumbling into our cess pool of minds here...they're waaaay too earnest. It's absolutely too sweet that they both were so dilligent to look this trifling matter up and take it to this level....(reply to this comment) |
| | From Jesus Crust Monday, July 31, 2006, 09:07 (Agree/Disagree?) Behold, here thou art heralding forth my business for all to see. This, at least, from thee I might expect. Thou always were the crass one. I remember the time I formed a gerbil of clay and gave it life, yea and all thou could think of was how to get it up my ass. Truth be told Beelzebabe, I miss thee. What say we try once more to make this relationship work. Over the last few months I hath been working out much, yea even drinking milk. Even did I have that third nipple removed that thou did hate so. Don't make me beg, my glutes do ache for thee, yea even my sphincter. I shall wait a fortnight for thee at the Greyhound station on 5'th and Central. Dissapoint me not, you big red hunk you. (reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | From gragon Sunday, July 30, 2006, 13:04 (Agree/Disagree?) "Noel Jones suggested, and i quote: "Thank you for your request we have research this as far as I can go the prefix word from (Shun) means: "But shun profane and vain babblins for they will increase unto more ungodliness." 2nd Timothy chapter 2:16" Interestingly enough everyone on this site is very familiar with the word. While I have no idea if your pastor is using it in the same context that those of us here are familiar with. We know it to be a word associated with speaking in tongues. That is really the only thing I can think of. Oddly enough it is exactly what that verse you were given reference too is telling you not to do. As you might have figured out by now, we were all children who grew up in a religious cult. Their form of speaking in tongues was to babble on with words such as shondo blah, blah, blah in an attempt to hear from the lord. Most people on this site have since left the cult and are trying to move on with our lives. Most now have either atheistic or simply non-caring views, if not hostile towards religious matters and definately hostile tendencies towards those attempting to preach to us. I think most saw your initial request as some sort of bad joke and not a sincere request. Hope this clears up the responces you have had on this site. (reply to this comment) |
