| | | From Corpus Outreach Wednesday, November 07, 2007, 07:47 (Agree/Disagree?) I know it kinda 'sucks' in the sense that I am a total amatuer at doing web sites and stuff. Some people have read the books and stuff at the end of the long comment section, to be honest I kinda laughed when I read your comment! I must admit a lot of my buddies, who actaully have made it thru the difficulty of the site, enjoyed some of the content, but tell me the same thing about the difficulty navigating the thing! thanks any way, John. P.S. I like the name fish, Jesus said we are fishers of men. (reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | from Birger Langkjer Monday, January 31, 2005 - 13:37 (Agree/Disagree?) A lot of preachers, pastors etc get really nasty if you start to critize them. I myself have received a death threat once in my line of work. Not a real death threat of course, but a warning along the line of "if you critize my ministry, God will punish you severely" and then a reference to the story of Ananias and Safira in Acts 5. (About the two who tried to cheat the apostles and died of shock when they were exposed. I don't really like that story, couldn't they have handled that situation a bit differently? "Look here, Ananias, isn't there something you want to tell me about this money?" Why does everything have to be so heavy all the time?) I was pretty shocked, but I know others who have had the same experience. I thought, "this man must think he is very important, if he thinks that God will act as his personal hitman against his critics". You must understand that these people are not representatives of genuine Christianity. Usually they are heretics or simply hypocrits, who claim to serve God when in fact they are working towards their own glorification and riches. Of course a few of them are just imbeciles, like the one who threatened me. They have grown up spiritually in an sectarian environment where lies, manipulation and intimidation are so commonplace that it just comes natural for them. They see "Christian" leaders act in this way and they imitate them. It's quite sad really. Their greatest crime is that they destroy Christianity from within. The Christian Church will always attract psychopaths because many Christians are too naive and trusting. There is money to be collected, power to be gained, girls to be seduced, plus you get to stand on a podium and have people's undivided attention and adoration. What psychopath could possibly resist all this? (reply to this comment)

| from Joe H Monday, January 31, 2005 - 09:47 (Agree/Disagree?) A spelling lesson for moon beam: You don't need to put an apostrophe before every single s that comes at the end of a word. You also don't need it after an acronym. Satan Bless You! (reply to this comment)
