Getting On : All My Politics

In the after life

Will Ricky see Maria?

I had written heated words about the frustration Ricky must have experienced as a result of not being able to know where his mother was or talk to her. After reading what I wrote yesterday, I decided not to use heavy words against anybody. I just want to say that faceless Maria must think he was just an "apostate", I am sure. Maybe they will have a chance to talk about this if they ever meet in an "after life", if there is any, which I don't know and couldn't care less about knowing. It's just so frustrating that he died without having told her to her face how he felt. But then again, would she listen? I don't think so. She's a zombie in hiding. I strongly hope that she and her followers can wake up and realize what a lie they lived and are still living if they think a sick person like David Brandt Berg ever was a prophet or anything anybody should have ever followed.

What a completely irrelevant question. Do you actually have anything to say or are you just trying to chalk up a couple of numbers on your profile?

How is his question of the afterlife anymore irrelevant than your asumption of there not being one? As well, he has an equal right to be here too.(reply to this comment

And yes, I actually think I have something to say as a former member of this fucking cult as you were, as someone who luckily left it a long time ago but met some of the original leaders, was oppressed by them in a different way than you perhaps were, but wants to share this experience in a place where it could be useful. I hate wasting my time, I am not trying to prove anything to anybody, I surely don't need any "chalking up" in my profile here or anywhere and I sincerely hope you are as happy and successful in what you do as I am with what I do for work and pleasure.(reply to this comment

From the front-page: "The website created by and for young adults with parents who joined the religious organization The Family / Children of God."

You are neither a young adult nor were you born into the cult. You are an elderly person who, of your own volition, became a cult member (albeit a long time ago);all this tells me is that you are not that bright and that you have made poor life choices.

I'm sure that you think this is the place to share your experiences, but, you are wrong. It would be more appropriate for you to take your superstitious blather, crude language and all other pearls of wisdom someplace else.

Also, as no one can know the content of Ricky's inner monologue, nor his absolute intentions and motivations, it would be in poor taste to presume otherwise--so please don't.

OK, you guys, I wish you well, didn't mean to be offensive to anybody or to claim that I am brighter than anybody else. Congratulations for your site. All the best to all of you! I leave with no hard feelings.(reply to this comment

You seem to have completely missed the point about Ricky's episode. Apart from the terrible abuse he suffered, the straw that broke the camel's back for him was not being able to see his mother, to know where she was, to talk to her. Not being able to reach her was driving him mad. It jumps to the eyes in his video, as does the fact that he was obsessed with the need to talk to her. I just put in words what troubled me (and I am sure was troubling him) in that video. He moved to his last apartment because she had been seen in that area visiting an old-age home. It's not hard to infer that Angela was probably killed for either not knowing where Maria was or for refusing to tell him. His frustration boiled up exactly because of this, or am I wrong? For these reasons, the question is highly relevant in my opinion and, of course, figurative, as I thought was clear. As for trying to chalk up a couple of numbers on my profile, you are completely wrong, my friend, I didn't even know about any such mechanism, believe me, I am not an Internet guy. How does one "take one out" in "the afterlife"?

I was quoting Ricky Rodriguez in his video. I'm not saying there's anything in any "afterlife". I have no idea and don't pretend to have. It's figurative speech. He was so angry in that video that he said he would go after his mother even in the afterlife, if there is any, which he hoped there isn't, if he could not find her here. (reply to this comment
