I agree that adversity *can* be triumphed against, but I am always skeptical of things that may be class propaganda to appease the downtrodded: "be content in your lot (or even grateful that your life is a non-stop struggle for the basics) because us prosperous people never amount to much anyway." Did any of you ever have to sit through the acronymic breakdown of the word "evil?" It seems the special end time etymology that they inherited from a drunken pedophile fails to make a distinction between syllables and initials.
