Everyone Has AIDS

from shikaka - Wednesday, October 04, 2006
accessed 1297 times

This is a rant.

ARGHHHHHH! This is a very sore subject with me. Ill try not to get too worked up.

I am sorely vexed with a problem I see in TF. This affects young people and family that I know and care for, and they are all either too stupid, lazy, or brainwashed to do anything about it. The Family's views on AIDS are archaic to say the least. Many Family SGAs feel that much of the world's population has AIDS, and any sexual contact (with outsiders) will result in a great likelihood of contracting it.

Im not sure how this came to be. I can't decide whether it was a concerted effort by Maria and Peter to scare people, or if policy was written out of sheer ignorance and stupidity. Take, for example, the 6 month rule. It says somewhere, it may be in the charter, that this time period is mainly to wait out the incubating period for AIDS, between the first and last tests. This in itself is asinine, as I believe the minimum time it takes for AIDS to show up in your system is 2 to 3 months.

Thats only the camel's nose. My main problem is with TF's lackadaisical attitude regarding STDs. For example, I have an old friend in TF who recently went "MM", and she was telling me about how she was nervous, etc when she went to get her AIDS test. I asked her why she wasnt just as worried about having hepatits, herpes, or HPV. Her response was typical, she said she didnt have "spots" or anything else "down there", so she knew she was clean.

WTF?! This typifies the attitude of multitudes of family SGAs, who think that AIDS is the biggest of their worries! As far as I am aware, there is little to no instruction or information in family literature regarding STDs, people dont talk about it, it seems almost to be regarded as taboo!

To any family SGAs reading this: AIDS is not the problem, people! You should all be FAR more worried about, oh for example, genital warts, which HALF the sexually active poulation of the USA has! HPV, the virus that causes genital warts, is the leading cause of cervical cancer in women. That’ll kill you faster than AIDS will, I promise! How about herpes, which is highly infectious and far more widespread than aids? How about Chlamydia? Hepatits A,B, and C, which will destroy your liver quicker than you can say, “PTL, the AIDS test results were negative”….
FOR GOD'S SAKE, Please, Please, protect yourselves by all getting STD tested now! The results may surprise you.

I know Im beating my proverbial head against a metaphorical wall here, but... goddammit! In the words of Eric Cartman,... "F*****g Hippies!"

I just took an AIDs test the other day and the results said that I`m am not infected.

The Family are so paranoid and that is one of their typical weapons which they use to scare their followers into staying.

May they all see the truth some day and truely "repent" of their ways and leave The TFI.

I remember at Greenfields there was this one toilet with an "A" on the door. I was horrified when one of the Aunties explained to me that it was "A" for "Afflicted"! I prayed to God that the "Afflicted" ones only ever used that toilet, and I sure never used it again!

Thats really sad. I know of another woman who battled breast cancer for years, to finally be abandoned financially by the family. She died in the home of a childhood friend, virtually alone. My mom cared for her and her kids for a few weeks. Its a very sad story. I think about what will happen when my parents are too old to work, and it worries me. The plus side is that they have 3 kids out of TF, so hopefully we'll make them comfortable in their old age. I really love my mom, but sometimes I feel bitter about that. Im going to have to pay (literally)for her financial irresponsibility. (reply to this comment

I think that the loving Jesus shit was complete heresy. If God wanted people to jack off to his son he would have said something like this somewhere in that book:

Peterspeter 3:69 "Verily, Verily I say unto you, he who pulleth not his cock for God and stands in the way of beaters and sits on the John without flogging, he will be like, out of the Spirit."

I wonder if Peter and Maria and Co. have circle jerks after breakfast? Maybe after every meal, or maybe it's after they all lay hands on Peter's sore pig sticker. Come to think of it, I actually don"t want to know.

I know what happened. Maria mistook Jesus for Michael Jackson and in turn told all of her followers to JUST BEAT IT.

no its not relevant directly to the main article of this page but since it is on the subject about The Family and their sex history etc. I thought it would be ok. I came across it in the trailer park section. I suspect that it was TFI members who made a united effort to make it end up over there.(reply to this comment

The trashcan symbols do not mean that the individual has nominated the article for the trailer park, but rather they are there for clicking on so that you can view a comment that is in the trailer park :-)

The more cases of chlamydia they spread between themselves the better, IMO - At least that way there is far less chance of further breeding going on.

I wouldn't be too concerned about what their rules are... Personally it all comes down to money, besides STD's can be very expensive to cure, if you don't have healthcare, not to mention cohabitating with AIDS which has no cure... Let em do what they want who da fuck cares. I had more S** after I left anyway, with a lot less drama. (reply to this comment

Please tell your MM friend to consider the HPV vaccine that is currently available, or will be soon. Here's a link about it: http://cancer.about.com/od/hpv/p/gardasil.htm It is recommended for girls ages 9 to 26, so every female in this age group should look into this as well.
