I can sympathise with your dislike for Islam, but the Christians have been reponsible for even more crap than the Muslims. Why don't we just ditch them both? (And toss Hinduism while we're at it)

My new motto: "Can't we all just not get along?"

No offence Rachel, But that is the biggest load of crap I’ve seen in a long time. How can any religion claim to be ‘better’ than another? Islam is dangerous, but not Christianity? Just read history. Two hundred years ago it was acceptable for Christians to have slaves, eight hundred years ago Galileo risked burning at the stake for saying the world was round. All done entirely in the name of Jesus fucking Christ!! The Roman empire also had political reasons for accepting Christianity as the state religion. So now, because of one well-played (by the media) incident, we should go on a crusade against Islam? Now we will be committing atrocities in the name of god? Christianity and Islam are dangerous religions, simply because they’re not, like the bible says: “god is the same yesterday, today, and forever”. Both the Koran and the bible can be interpreted in many ways(and have been), it is easy to turn the bible into a fanatic’s handbook.

If you study history, Islam was allowed people from other faith peace as long as they payed and extra trubute to the government. Note this was at a time in europe when christians had the nasty habit of burning people at the stake for religious crimes.

No offence "pharmaboy thinks how dumb!!"

Maybe you don't keep up with the times. I am not talking about religion at ALL!!!!! What we are talking about are a few EXTREME terriost who just so happen to of the "Jihad" belief and they will kill no matter what for their Islamic religion. I am not religious but I am for fanatics bombing innocent people. AND as I was saying this small group of people are becoming a problem as there are networked around the world and have intent to kill innocent people.-- are you MUSLEM????

I certainly don't think that the big nations of the world should bomb and declare military action on whole countries just for the sake of a few of these terrorists, but the point is that something must be done soon as this will continue to happen, at any place and time.

By the way, I NEVER said anything about claiming that Christianity is better than another? Every person has that right to believe what they like, and that is part of the freedoms we enjoy. But this group of the Jihad faith will do anything to wipe out others who are not of their faith.

Is this website for people's opinions, or just to take the crap out of each other? Cause what I've read, a lot of what is posted is crap!(reply to this comment

My reply was actually for Monk, got the names wrong, oops!

Crap as in useless flames or crap as in subversive opinions?

Can you notice that it was a media stunt? I was made for people like you & me to think: "how terrible, we need to stop these extremists!". I've already argued enough on this subject in other threads, but what do you know about these extremists that hasn't come from mainstream media? What proof do you have that they were directly responsible that hasn't come from parties involved which would gain considerably from their distruction? I admit I don't, so I don't get whipped up in some righteous-humanitarian fervor when I hear of these tragedies, just wait and see. (reply to this comment

I definately think that the whole Islamic thing is worldwide a problem and going to continue to be unless we of the Western countries DO something to put a stop to this. There are Islamic websites currently running that are trying to instill hatred to the whites and there has been more verbal threats of more terrorist attacks from Indonesia. Which just makes this a worldwide problem as they are networked everywhere throughout the world! Anyone that has no respect for another life, does not deserve peace. They should be found and punished!

Yes right!!! So let's give Bush and Blair Carte Blanche to go around the world and bomb whoever they please. Have ever studied why the 'insane extremists' are doing this? Hint: it's not only religious fervor, if you were a palestinian you'd have a vague idea.(reply to this comment

Well this is a very Christian point of view.
I mean a Muslim would say otherwise and he would be horrified if someone said that he had a "bastardized" religion.
I don`t think its religion because you got Christians and Protestants who both believe in the exact same God blowing each other up in Ireland.
Christians used to go on Crusades and have inquisitions and torturings and what nots.
To put it bluntly, it seems like the fundementalist muslims, are the violent ones and from a western point of view, they are also the backward ones.
Its unfair to let Hollywood slap a label on Muslims, cause the general populace isn`t a violent type.
Maybe theres just something genetically wrong with humans

Uhh, dont have time to get into it, but as far as Adolf Hitler banning religion, he was actually a devout Lutheran and I'm pretty sure his actions were initially supported by the Lutheran Church. I know the Lutheran Church doesn't agree with Hitler now, but the point is that it's kind of dumb to protray religion or Christianity in general as having stood up to the 3rd Reich or Facism.(reply to this comment
