Phoenixkidd sings," Starlit Skyway....La La.. I am spell bound by your beauty, " God so many songs and I remember the first time I heard most of them. MWM had a big following in South East Asia, especially Indo. I would also like to know where I can get some MWM songs. I bet TF would make some cash if they sold them to ex-2nd Gen. They are terrible songs, but still nostalgia is very strong with these.

I sing:..."She's the maharishi of Hyderabad, a goddess starving for your love..." I remember some of those songs too. Brings back memories.

Hey, What was the name of that tape your dad & co made in indo? I think it's pretty rare, I remember some of the songs. One was about about a gypsy tent & another one with your dad singing "night life, in the city, what a pity....", & (not Jonas' version) "Givin your love away", etc.

Nice tape, btw. (reply to this comment

You know, singing in the shower, I don't remember. I am pretty sure it is cool breeze, I doubt my Dad even has a copy of it. When I was in Indo in 96' I met some people in TF that said they would have so many "dance nights" with that tape in Bangladesh. Crazy stuff. I guess there was so little rad music in TF at that time.(reply to this comment

Wasn't "cool breeze" the one that Michael Fogarty & Jeremy made a really long time ago.

Your dad's tape was made some time after that. Maybe it was just called the "tribute tape". Anyway, I remember Virginia used to have a copy of it. I think she lived with you at the time it was made. Anyway, I guess no one really has that tape anymore.(reply to this comment

Amen to that! The FTT's always sucked big time. I remember about mid 2001, just before 9-11, getting all my FTT's out and trying to make a list of which tapes I wanted to buy on CD if they had them (so I could transfer them to my custom CD's) because the base in California had the CD's on clearance sale. Boy am I glad I never got to order them, who wants to listen to Vas and Jeremy Spencer when you can have Newsboys or Micheal W. Smith? There's nothing like some good brackish music to make you really feel like a systemite.

Jeremy Spencer might have been okay, but knowing what I know now about what he did to Mene, I don't think I could listen to his music the same way ever again.

My custom CD ended up having Britney Spears' song "Oops, I did it Again!" on it, but that was my fault. I thought it was funny back then. Poisonous music? Maybe it's borderline, and I usually skip over it now anyway.

I feel sorry for the poor people in The Family that the best they can get is a modernized version of "In the room, you're never alone..."(reply to this comment

'Brackish music' is Christian music produced outside of the cult -- It's not the pure lifegiving water of God as given straight to his most elite, you see.

Heh, no Haunted you've got it all wrong. Your music is pure salt because it's just honest-to-goodness POISON! Brackish water is still water, because it's about the Lord and stuff so it obviously has *some* truth to it, but there's also enough salt (or POISON) in it to render it undrinkable and therefore ultimately of no use to God's Elite. See now?

I was looking at your pic just yesterday and wondering how you are. I hope everything is going good for you! :-)

I know I am getting out of hand when I find myself correcting a statement that on further inspection turns out to be perfectly correct *rolls eyes*. I don't know how I managed to misread that one, heh. Must be my lack of sleep last night, yes, that's definitely what it is.

Guess I should get back to work now, after all the floors won't hoover themselves. But damn it's hot here today. Makes me lazy.

. I would suggest a better venture. Find the entire collection, sell them to the US military. Playing those albums for suspected terrorists is an excellent non-lethal way of extracting needed information. If successful, no one would would come within a 10 mile radius of Guantanamo bay. Of course...it would only be a matter of time before the UN would ban them as "cruel and unusual punishment". :p (reply to this comment

This might seem strange, but I loved that song - for me it symbolized how I felt growing up in the cult - I heard the wind blowing outside and everyone in the cult told me it wasn't real. (reply to this comment

I agree! I hated those songs, they had such bad memories for me. Being 5 years old, and having not seen my mom in what seemed like years while she was out FF'ing. I used to cry to them so much.

I onced asked an "auntie" why our music was so sad. I got such a big spanking for that. ='[(reply to this comment
