Average visitor agreement is 1 out of 5(Agree/Disagree?)

They should stop calling it "tithe" and call it was it is: a tax.

From reading the Torah we know that to Hebrew society - and later the classic Hebrew state - tithe WAS its tax. It fulfilled mostly the same role as in any other nation of the ancient world. It happens that in modern times it is the modern State that can charge taxes. Calling Family tithe "tax" elevates TFI to the category of a nation-State and its members to citizens... 16%? Aren`t they going against what the Bible and D-Berg said? (Not that I give a trolls turd) That was one of the first things that I realised sometime after I left TF back in `96. It`s just like that song "Its all `bout the money".

Ah... just a month ago or so... b4 i left there was a new GN asking ppl to give more voluntary "gifts" and stuff to WS... Wasnt an official raise in the tithe ... tho i dont think that made much of a diff. My parents immediatly raised it to 20%... including what i was raising *sniff* which partly explains the very broke state i am in right now.

Take from your kids to give to the cult government--what an excellent parenting method. Starting out with nothing is a tough thing, so best of luck to you. Just remember that those little injustices will be just the thing to make you determined to succeed.(reply to this comment

Hey, U.S. boomers are doing exactly the same thing to their children and grandchildren. At the peak of my earning career, I've gotten tax cuts that are being funded by loans taken out by my government. The loans (plus interest) will be paid back by my children and grandchildren in the form of increasingly higher taxes after I retire and go on a fixed income in 10-15 years. To further confuse the matter, young adult tax payers (who also are benefitting from the tax cuts, although to a lesser degree) are being told that if the U.S. changes the Social Security funding structure by going to private accounts, they'll be better able to manage the tax burden that's lumbering down the road in the next 10-15 years. In an eerie parallel to cult government, what the shift of public funds to private accounts will do is make a few people at the top very, very rich, while the rest remain wage slaves living from one paycheck to the next and unable to retire until they're dead. Yea, but their taxes are going to fund their, and their children's educations, roads, police protection, military. In short, our "systemite" taxes are paying for our rights and are beneficial to us, in TF its going towards funding their abusive subjugation, and repression.(reply to this comment

With tax there's a big difference. With taxes, you're told what is happening with your money, with tithe in TF it's all a big mystery.
We all know where out President lives right? He may have great security, and we may not all get to see him but we all know where his house is while he's in office. Our taxes are spent of various different things; education, wars, law enforcement, healthcare, and many other government agencies. And although we may not sometimes agree with where it’s spent, at least we know where it’s spent.
Does anyone have a clue where Zerby and Peter are? They could be living in a third world country, where it's way cheaper to live, and therefore are making way to much money off of people in third world countries who are just trying to survive.
I remember wearing ratty clothes, eating expired foods, having to go to farms to pick our own fruits, I even remember once eating chickens that were grown in our back yard!
You work your butt off to pay tithe to whom? And for what cause? What are the leaders in TF family doing with your money except spending it all publishing letters with make believe prophecies from pets and dead people (and in some cases people who are still alive…lol).
It’s all a big scam, and in order for them to be able to control you they feed you crap to brainwash you. Now you’re just a blind follower of one of the biggest scam artists around.
16%? That’s outrageous!

heh... luck is what i need... thankfuly the Finnish government does better... They give re-patriates moving back to the country financial aid and training and whatnot until you learn the language and get on thier feet.
I only wish my mum had taught me the language... i am soooo handicapped now... but i guess she "never dreamed" that i wouldnt follow in her shoes.. (funny cuz she always seemed a little discontented with her lot... not that i blame her... she joined at 19 had me at 20... and another kid every other year from then on... great way to get trapped)(reply to this comment

Hey, I know that's an old comment posted, but wondering how you are doing now a full one year later. I don't know you, but I can relate to the "I wish my mum had taught me the language" part. I guess since the "ENDTIME" was supposed to come about 4 times already, they didn't think it necessary to teach us about our countries. They did teach us how to build nuclear fallout shelters though... Heh,(reply to this comment

Well, the last time i checked out it was about 15%,and also you have numerous attack days when you turn all your incomes to ws so that they can use it for whatever reason they see fit.Sometimes they use some of that money to print some books ,but they"ll not forget to make sure that you really appreciate and value the sacrifices that WS makes for you . Off course those decisions are not made by the lower cast but the upper leaders ,the ones that care for your soul????

The sad thing is that when my soul was in trouble none of them took the time to help me or answer some of my deep questions without making me feel like the worst person on the planet.

Probably going to a shrink is cheaper and more effective ...

So it"s much better to give some money to your friend in need or to whomever you'd like too ,instead of the organised crime organisation known as the Fam.

It's 10% tithe, but then there is like a 1% for something and another 3% for something else. This extra 4% is not supposed to be mandatory, but it's strongly recommended and may as well be mandatory.

I think that’s the answer to your Q but I could be wrong there.

The 1% is for the "FAF", which is the "Family Aid Fund" and that is the money that goes to the HERs and the new Home gifts, etc. The 3% is for the "Common Pot" which goes to the VSs, CROs, and the local Family "Leadership" for whatever they want to use it for. These extra percentages above the 10% has been mandatory since some time earlier this year.

So much for thier claim that "THEY" are the ones that "give" the Homes their HER. Ha! It's just the regular Jo-blow slaves that are actually paying for these things. Really, TF does not "give" to their members out of their own pocket at all. The 4% is what does that. And then the 10% goes to support all those WS homes, which they then use for producing the GNs (Yay!), music CDs for the young people, and all those very precious gifts that every member is supposed to be so very thankful for....(reply to this comment

who wants to tithe, funding mama's folks house in the retirement villiage? hearing about that really pissed me off, i know families who struggle to get food on the table but will faithfuly tithe--such a horrible guilt trip...if someone could get ahold of the finances of TF and enlighten these tithers or where their money goes. I've heard of leadership putting their own personal families up in 5 star hotels to make up for them being away on these "meetings/orgy/LJ episodes", it make me wanna puke at these deciever's ways....

OMG, you are so right. My family lives in asia, (they are still in the family) They barely have enough money to feed everyone. One of my brothers has a brain tumor, and the Family can't pay for his treatment.....so he's practicaly left to die!!! But oh, wait, they must send in their money to WS!!! I have a friend who's little sister was just diagnosed with a brain tumor, there's no money from TFI or the Government... So, now it's up to her few (thanks to the family) uneducated siblings who have left, to work their asses off to pay for any medical expenses. I'm sure that TFI is doing all the gibberish spouting, hand waggling, and general lunacy they can to ensure she winds up like her mother (who died of similar circumstances).

just doesn't change the fact that our terminally ill loved ones will die, even if they did have a chance at life. just think, what if if was zerby or peter who had the tumor or what if it was some CRO....I'm willing to bet that they'd come up with that money right away!!!! (reply to this comment
