Ricky Article in Rolling Stone Magazine

from conan - Sunday, June 19, 2005

This week's edition of Rolling Stone Magazine has an incredibley well written article about Ricky and the horrors of the COG/TFI. It is very blunt about the facts and presents the story from an angle that all of us here at movingon can identify with.

I highly recommend its reading.

The article can be read online at:

I recommend right-clicking and downloading the PDF locally rather than trying to open it in your borwser.

Take it easy.

Can you tell us which issue number and date it is? I don't have a subscription so I just bought issue 976 (dated June 16) and I couldn't find it in there. I am guessing perhaps subscribers get it before it's available at the news stands. (reply to this comment

I don't know exactly what days Rolling Stone comes out for subscribers or on newsstands, but I just picked up the issue in question at a magazine stand today. Unfortunately, the article does not appear to be on rollingstone.com (though it will be added on xfamily as soon as a contributor is able to get it in electronic form).

It's in the "summer double issue" # 977/978 (June 30-July 14, 2005), with Jessica Alba on the cover. The article, titled "The Life & Death of the Chosen One" (starts on pg. 114), though it's not a cover article (which I suppose is why it didn't make it to their website), is 11 frikkin' pages long with 9 photos, and covers more Family history than other articles I've seen to date.

Hat's off to author Peter Wilkinson and Rolling Stone for the evident broad effort involved in publishing this.(reply to this comment
