    Read a really good book about a girl who was brought up in the "Exclusive Brethren" (similiar to Family in many ways).

    Read a really good book about a girl who was brought up in the "Exclusive Brethren" (similiar to Family in many ways). When she was 16 or so, she decided that she didn''t want to carry on living that way, and it''s her story of how she left, etc.

    The book is called, "Shut Up Sarah" by Marion Field. Published by Highland Books. ISBN 1-897913-28-1

    You may also want to check out "Heaven's Harlots, My Fifteen Years As A Sacred Prostitute In The Children of God Cult," by Miriam Williams, available for browsing at http://www.american-buddha.com/heavenharlot.abol.htm throught the American Buddha Online Library. This book is really excellent, detailed, and moving.

    I thought this book was incredible awe inspiring and has opened my eyes to things that go on in the world that can draw people away from God.
