I am a former member of a cult in Quebec, Canada. This group was founded by my father, meaning I am an adult/child raised in a group.[br]I left at age 30. Today, 13 years after, I am studying in sociology, doing a Master's, a research on the integration in the mainstream society of those who were born or raised in a closed religious environment and that decided to leave. What are the challenges they (I) have to face? Since I found myself lacking the appropriate services I would have needed, I decided to have the training myself in order to help others following the same path.
