I never reported abuse:

There was no abuse to report 

I wasn't sure what happened to me was abuse, though looking back now I realise it was 

I was too young when it happened and later it didn't seem that important 

I was afraid I would get in trouble 

I didn't know how to react to what had happened 

I was ashamed and didn't want anyone to know 

The abuser was someone close to me whom I didn't want to get in trouble 

I was worried no one would believe me
