| Jules, July 2, 2001, 12:44 RE: To Jules Your article is not in the database Holon, the page must not have written it. What happened? Did you get an error message? Did it just disappear? Can you let me know which browser and platform (PC, MAC etc.) you are using? Has this happened to anyone else? (reply to this post) | | Holon, July 4, 2001, 18:59 RE: To Jules Man that sucks! It took me over an hour to write it.It was really good too. Oh well I'll try it again. There wasnt an error message or anything. I dont understand what happened.Talk to you later Jules (reply to this post) | | Jules, July 5, 2001, 03:53 RE: To Jules Sorry about this Holon, I think I know what happened. You have to be logged into the site to be able to access the "submit article" page. The website then knows who you are, and lets you access information personalised for you. If there is no activity by you (you don't go to any new pages) for more than 20 mins, then it times out, and you have to log in again. When you log in, the page that you were on is passed to the login form, so it will take you back to the same page, but the content inside the form is not. After you enter your username and password, it would have taken you back to an empty form. Obviously this is not a great way to set up this form. I will take a look at rewriting this code when I get back next week. If any techies out there have some ideas for fixing this, please let me know. In the meantime, I do recommend that people write articles in a word processor first, and then cut and paste into the form. I do run the content through a spellchecker before posting it, but people may want to do that themselves first anyways. (reply to this post) |

I'm going on vacation
for the next 2 weeks, and will (try to) stay away from the net. I have been working on some scripting changes, like threading the comments. (I'll look into chat as well, Holon.) If you have any other suggestions for changes, or find something is not clear or confusing, feel free to post it here, and I'll see if I can accommodate it when I get back.

I've moved some content
I have changed some articles from "legna" and cameleon into comments. I'm assuming that's where you meant them to go.
