Woe is Me
I have been a faithful fan of Rice's for years, and I too am saddened at this strange drop in quality. I have also always liked Amy Tam (Joy Luck Club), and I found her newest work, too, a big disappointment. It seems there are not many solid authors for us book-addicts, and its always a shame when another solid literary resource dries up.  (reply to this post)

It's a shame she had to get religious. In my opinion the Vampire books were a bit over the top, I think the "Mayfair Witches" series was her best work.
