CHILDREN OF WACO
ABC Network will be airing a show called The Children Of Waco, on the show Primetime Thursday, this coming Thursday, 4/17/2003, 8/9c. I believe I have all this information right; however, those who want to see it may wish to check their local listings. I went to abcnews.com, their website, and was surprised at how un-user friendly and crappy it is, and I couldn’t find the info I was looking for, but I did see a few seconds of the ad on TV. It would be interesting to have a discussion on this website about the show, once it is aired. I’m not sure which direction the show will take, nor am I sure what the surviving Waco kids, who are now grown up, feel about the their parents’ late cult. Either way, I anticipate it will make for an interesting viewing and motivate relevant discussion for us on this site. Regards, Anthony

Dazed and Confused!!
Two disturbing things I heard about today, can anyone confirm/deny them for me? 1) there was a lawsuit brought by the Australian kids who were aprehended in the raids against the goverment/people who took them, it was settled for an undisclosed amount. 2)TF paid money to Simon Peters daughter in a suit she brought against them. OK maybe this is old news but it's new to me.

| Nina Jones, February 7, 2003, 20:07 Our dad's owe child support. Hi,just came accross this and would like to set set the record.I haven't taken TF to court.[Although i'd love to]Neither have i recieved any money from them as a group or individualy.I won a case with the C.I.C.B.in 91'.The Criminal Injuries Compansation Board is a goverment fund allocated to cases such as ex-army sufferers or in my case my mom submited for our whole family but at the time the guidlines didn't afford for "cults".I was the only one who came close and with expert help and older ex-members support we were able to win an amount of money [£5,000]for the time i was with the cult in this country[2 1/2-5yrs and the money was for sexual abuse in that time frame.Anything that happened beyond that time[in India] untill leaving was outside their duristriction .I hope this clears that up. Peace&Love (reply to this post) |

I'm famous!
While I'm honored that Jules saw fit to mention me in an announcement on the front page, I think there are many other authors of strange writings on this site who deserve recognition. In addition, I feel powerless to respond directly to her comments and spread some of this limelight that is unfairly gracing me. Can I get announcement posting priveledges?

| Jules, October 9, 2002, 23:24 Don't feel powerless Oh but you really are special, and not in a olympic way. You've been just one warm fuzzy ball of virgin-dating, Canadian-hating, poster-patenting, smartassedness. It was all good though until you started bashing Brian Adams. Now it's war. You know I think you are cool. It's just fun (for me) to pick on someone sometimes. :-p (reply to this post) | | monkeyfart, October 10, 2002, 00:04 Not all bad Amen to that in the name of Terrence & Phillip (another proud Canadian export)! (reply to this post) | | monkeyfart, October 10, 2002, 01:53 agreed Its funny in Oz I often get pegged for being a canadian (thanks to our family upbringing, lol). - Being asked if you're an American is considered more of an insult. (reply to this post) | | Jules, October 10, 2002, 23:31 Wanna-be-Canadians Shouldn't that be "less of a compliment"? :) (reply to this post) | | Monk, October 11, 2002, 00:46 not quite Jules, its not necessarily my opinion, to be honest I couldn't care less if someone's Canadian or from the Us. But many commonwealth countries, including Oz are more inclined to have a link with Canadians than Americans, don't ask me why. (reply to this post) | | Kyla, October 11, 2002, 09:52 why? Probably because Canada is also part of the Commonwealth... (reply to this post) | | JoeH, October 10, 2002, 00:47 let's hear it for the canadians! looks like they're going to legalize/decriminalize marijuana! (reply to this post) | | Jules, October 11, 2002, 13:04 That's British Columbia We import our culture, we grow our own pot. Felicia Amoroso
Every one of you that replied to Felicia Amoroso comments, I applaud you. I personally could not have answered her any better, nor do I wish too. She seems excessively stupid and ignorant, and her thought pattern insipid, not to mention, in denial. It is because (in part) of people like her that we went through what we did; and why we continue to fight. Thanks again people. Regards, Anthony

whatever
the truth of the matter is nothing is ever going to happen. we can hate them as much we like but..and most of us do. but when u get down to it...no one is ever going to pay for everything...or anything at all...that they put us thru. the best thing in my opinion is to get on with life. forget about them. i know thats something thats near impossible but we can try.!!! can't we??

It is not an impossibility. It's also possible to live a fun, productive, successful life, while at the same time getting justice from the abusers in one's past. We are no longer helpless.
