Very "feeding"quote
"What is Success"-by Ralph Waldo Emerson "To laugh often and much. To win the respect if intelligent people and the affection of children. To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends."

Pratchett fans here?
Terry Pratchett's "Small Gods" - (Anyone else read it?) I thought Omnia reminded me a little of the F. (If you haven't read it, and want some light reading, email me and I'll send you the PDF ebook)I thought the parts of the book that dealt with belief as a force interesting as well... anyone else? For those of you who aren't (yet) Terry Pratchett fans but like humour a la Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, etc), you might be well entertained. If you are looking for anything "serious", erm ,you'd be looking in the wrong aisle. :-) Millenium hand n' shrimp! Buggrit! Ruff PS (this is "Roughneck" but (aiiee) I don't remember what PW I used to sign up with on this site :-( Now my "roughneck" persona has been "reserved" until I can coax my pazzword out of my (alcohomomol?) addled skull. Don't hold your breath, could be a long wait :-) later.

| Xian, May 14, 2003, 11:39 pdf ebook hi! is it okay if you send me a copy of the pdf ebook by Terry Pratchett? I'm always interested in knowing a new author. I'm just starting to love Neil Gaiman with all his twisted-funny-sense. I now think Stephen King is boring compared to him. Hope you'll be able to send me a copy at xian16@hotmail.com. (reply to this post) | | i_am_fsck, July 3, 2002, 17:34 hehe Heh, I forgot my password in a mist of alcohol fumes as well (got it back but can't be arsed to log in)...Pratchett had some funny material to start with, but I felt his later works were rather strained and repetetive, as though he'd run out of material and was just churning them out. He also seemed funnier when not attempting to parody serious things. His parodies of serious issues seemed rather contrived and preachy. (reply to this post) | | Mercy, July 1, 2002, 05:49 Good Omens You have to read Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman if you haven't already! Very interesting spin on the Apocalypse. Also American Gods by Neil Gaiman is a really good read. I'll be sure to pick up a copy of Small Gods. Thanks for the tip! --M (reply to this post) | | ruffneck, July 1, 2002, 13:21 oops! I forgot to include my email address. Hence, the title of this post (oops!). Correcting the mistake, roughneck21578@yahoo.com Doh! ;-) ruffneck (reply to this post) |

Rascal Flats
I just heard a song called "moving on" by Rascal Flats. I don't know if it's new or not because I don't listen to country very often, but it reminded me alot of leaving. I thought it was touching (for a country song).
