I am one of those annoying people that never shuts up and won't go away. I think it is funny the ones of you that feel the need to respond to me I hope i am not upseting your universe too much. But what if I was some lost young person in the Family and was trying to figure things out, you guys would really be a real help and have shown all kinds of reason. Ha. But since all us in here have our minds made up then there is not much to discuss is there? We have those in favor, those opposed and everyone else is just confused.


Really I just wanted to see how many of the people who have left turned out and also maybe get in contact with some of the ones I know just for kicks, as I think most of you can agree we have something in common that no one who has not been through it will ever be able to relate to so in that way we are different. oh and the chat site is always empty. A degree? What does that make you? You have yet to prove anything. All you can say now is that you have gone from taking in one persons set of rules and ideas and tossed them out the window only to turn around and have someone else tell you how to think and what opinions to adopt, still leaving out any original thought on your part. Impress me my telling me what it is you have figured out or made of yourself, any tangible proof that you can do more than talk a big game. And maybe you have done that but a degree is only a peice of paper. It is an accomplishment is all I can give you that you went through what it takes to get there, but now what? I run circles around people who have dedicated the greater parts of their lives to getting some form of higher learning only to find that they are not any further along in life and have to work for shit pay and be treated no better then the uneducated masses.

I need a little better then that before I climb into a hole and disappear.

Does it stand to reason that being the repugnant, "stupid dolt" (hope I got that right) that I am in the world according to mex, that it should be beneath you to even toss any of your babblings in my general direction. at last something we have in common, "I am bored at work and you amuse me." I feel the same way and were I not bored this would still amuse me greatly. I find you a most worthy combatant although truthfully I know not what our tournament is over, but if we keep it focused on me you will at the least have something to write about. I find your insights and clever jabs hilarious even at my expense.

To clarify for anyone who has paid any attention to my posts or was in any way insulted you give me way too much credit, since I suffer from more confussion then the majority of those here, but am satisfied with my accomplishments and cling to those.

This is what I don't understand. I have been told that people in TF consider this site "biased" and "slanted", however, it's an open forum. If there are actually hundreds of exers who loved their upbringing in the group, well, everyone is free to write whatever they want, and wouldn't we see more of that here?

Another thing I don't understand is the need to insult people who disagree with you. Why not just state your opinion instead of calling participants here losers and attacking theirs? Check the user directory. Most participants are students, professionals and parents.

I am on this site for the first time today, I doubt that I will waste too much of my time here. I figure it is pretty ironic that so many "Family/COG" bashers have nothing better to do then talk shit about how bad it was blah, blah. If it was so horrible then please why would you waste any more of your obviously precious time reliving it?

Grow up please you sound like a bunch of babies. Having met David years ago and not really been all that impressed I would really like to know his reasoning behind all of his tales? And what the fuck is he trying to accomplish or prove?

I may still be suffering from all the brain washing I received while in the Family so maybe I just need my eyes opened, or there is also the possibilty that I have better thing to do with my time. And what are we going to do now go back in time and have a mock trial of David Berg? Stomp on his grave some more, you are all real brave, if there was anything to be done and he was actually so bad then anyone around him who felt seriously wronged missed there chance to do anything about it because they were too much of a pussy. So live with it, but you really can not hold anyone else responsible for any of those accusations so all you have really done is waste a bunch of peoples time and maybe even brought back bad or peinfull memories.

In defense
I have accomplished more since leaving the family then any one else I know in the shortest period of time most likely because I was really able to move on. I am not under the influence of the family any of its rules or teachings, maybe some of you out there still feel you are. I have one more year before I receive my degree and my final thesis is going to be based on the family I a better off then any "systenites" I know in my age range, and have outdone any "backslider" out there. And without any help from anyone I did it myself and am proud of my acheivements.

I do not sufer from insecurities commonly represented by many of the posts that I have read. Just cause you grew up in the Family doesn't mean you are not "normal" come on now, we move on and find ourselves the rest really doesn't mean much and fades away, you will never forget whatever you went through personaly but why let it ruin your chances for the future.

I invite any critics of my opinions and do not to change anyones mind I am just here to speak my peice. All those who disagree can just write me off and not have to be bothered by a difference of opinion. I do not necessarily disagree with anyone else on this site I just have a slightly more laid back attitude about it, and it does not consume me every waking moment.

I would be more then happy to be lectured by someone who will set me straight and even invite it, but it would have to be someone who's opinion I can respect, so all those who are not able to articulate their thoughts are really just a waste of my time I am not saying they have any less of an arguement I just would not be that easily convinced. If I am blind then someone help me see the light, if I am not worth it then it is really not that big a deal anyways, I am just having fun with this and just stumbled on to it. Deryn: It seems to me that people who really have done something with their life don't need to go around bragging about it. Applause and comendations are worth far more coming from someone else than from yourself. Just because someone chooses to participate frequently on this site doesn't mean they're losers and have nothing better to do. If you don't have much contact with other ex-members what makes you so sure you're so much better then everyone else on this site? Good for you with all you've acomplished, but it hardly gives you the right to belittle others. One more thing....I've never heard of an undergraduate program requiring a thesis. So, if you really are working on your thesis wouldn't that have to mean you already graduated and are working on your Masters??????

You asked for criticism (actually you asked for "critics"), so here goes: just cause people get bored at work and like to rant about stupid stuff to an audience of their peers does not mean that they are "under the influence of the family," "suffering from insecurities," or letting it "ruin [our] chances for the future." Every month or so some new person shows up on a high horse and thinks they're real clever for pointing out the really obvious irony that some of the people on movingon.org might not be "moving on." So please just shut it, ok?
