Someone mentioned that Angela Smith, aka as Sara, didn't have any children. Well, if I remember correctly from my years of being in the "Not so Family", she had a daughter named Davida from her husband Alfred. Whatever happened to them. I also read that Ricky was on his way to kill his mom after killing Angela, would that mean they are in the US. If so, I'd like to see someone get a hold of them & throw their asses in jail. Tax evasion is one charge that would stick. It's sad that Ricky suffered so much emotional turmoil to the point of doing what he did, but I'm comforted to know that he's in the arms of a loving god who's made the real "truth" known to him about his "true" love. | | | | | from oldie Wednesday, January 19, 2005 - 00:13 (Agree/Disagree?) I just heard the news about Ricky & Angela. I’m still in a state of disbelief & shock that anyone could go to such extremes to prove a point. I am saddened to hear of so many young people not finding a niche when they leave. I left at 50 years old & at the time I wished I had done it when I was younger because trying to get started in a career at 50 is not too easy. I thought that being younger would have been a tremendous advantage, but I had to make the best of my situation & thankfully it’s worked out. I still feel like a bit of a misfit though – I don’t know whether that will ever change. I am now an over 50 self-supporting single grandmother. I have a place that my children & grandchildren know is “grandma’s place” & they’re welcome no matter what. I have something to leave to them when I pass on, to make their lives easier. I just want to say is that I pray that all of you that have been hurt or misled or mistreated will find a place in life where you can put aside all your past & get on with living & enjoying it. I could write pages on all the things I feel went wrong, but I just don’t want to go there. I’m too busy getting on with life. I must say though, that having known Angela & hearing the news has really floored me. I came to the moving on website to find out more about it & here I am adding my comments. I never expected I would do something like this. In the past I read a few things on this site & felt that it seemed, sad to say, that many of the contributors didn’t seem to be moving on at all, but rather seemed quite stuck in the muck of the past. If there’s anything I can do to encourage anyone that there is hope for a new start & a new beginning, please write. (reply to this comment)
| from Nick Friday, January 14, 2005 - 10:02 (Agree/Disagree?) I'm curious. Does anyone know if Angela, or Sue or whatever we are calling her, had any kids? Did she have a family? (reply to this comment)

This isn't the first time Mr. Lattin has covered "The Family" in the news. http://www.rickross.com/reference/family/family2.html Is there anything being organized to make ourselves heard and see that something is actually done in the court systems? It feels like there's a whole lot of talk and nothing being done! Is someone spearheading an effort to prosecute "The Family", more specifically the individuals who are leading it? | from ? Tuesday, January 11, 2005 - 09:52 (Agree/Disagree?) Good article...but why can't "maria david's" real name be used -Karen Zerby. Or at least pointed out that "maria" is an assumed name. (reply to this comment)
