from cyborcosmic - Friday, March 21, 2008 accessed 404 times This is a poem written by my sister Jasmine almost 1 year before her death One Love, your sister Something about love that perhaps I can not say; how it sways with ebbs and flows and crashes with the waves; It takes you out to oceans deep, and brings you back to land; And all the while there's so much more, below the surface of the water; below what people see; And parts so deep, they've never been charted; places so dark, that mountains evolve; And life grows, unknown to those up on the shore; And all these ebs and flows and crashes, And journeys out to sea; Can go on record to be discussed, evaluated, judged, and so forth; But the essence of the water, this endless mass; And all that lives and grows inside it, its continuance through all things; can not be explained or judged or analysed, It is solely felt and known by those abiding it; Two souls wading, swimming, and diving deep; Discovering its treasures, and coasting on its surface; T'wards the shore where conversation awaits; It is only and above, all a journey for you; And the oceans have no end, only the means of transportation thereon; by Jasmine Hiemstra |
