alone, surrounded by the world,
alone, there is no light where I sleep,
just darkness,
the wretched creature that I am screams
at the darkness, but loves it still,
I taste no love, I feel no joy,
I see no light,
alone, just darkness, just pain,
And in my silence the world passes by,
they hear no screams,
this pain is mine alone,
I will give it to no one, this darkness
this evil within me is mine to hold,
let me be alone
I want, not need
I want no smiles, nor leering grins
I want no laughter, nor high pitched screeches
I want no singing voices, nor tearing cries
just the solitude,
that the darkness brings me
let me be alone
in the silence that I call home
