Getting Through : Lighten Up
Come everyone to Treasure Antics.... | from JohnnieWalker - Friday, July 12, 2002 accessed 1574 times Have you ever watched a movie so many times you couldn’t help but notice some bloopers and obvious mistakes? Here are just a few of the embarrassing errors in the Treasure Attics, a video series hailed by the Family as being “highly educational”. Go look them up for yourself, if you still have a copy. 1) The “Bunny” family are obviously Family members, as apparant by their messed up family tree: (Bunny Big Hop speaking per video-phone to Bunny Big Word:) Hello, dear cousin! This is your uncle Bunny Big Hop. 2) “Forever Friend” teaches children about the “true” story of the first Christmas. In the Family’s revised version, Jesus was actually born in an city several hundered miles away:(Narrator of movie that Uncle Jim, Peepers and BBW are watching:) “...And the shepherds in Jerusalem marveled at all they had seen.” 3) Never mind that North is in the North and South is in the South, the Lord told them the truth in prophecy and so North and South were reversed on the weather vane in the first scene of “Happy Holidays”. 4) Apparently the Family thinks that the System’s space exploration is limited to the Earth’s atmoshpere. Why else would the MIR space station in “On the Air” have little flashing red lights? You know, the kind used to warn airplanes. I’m sure there are lots more. There are several technical mistakes with the blue screen where people go partially invisible, but those are too many to list. |

They also show the Christo in Rio (the big statue of Jesus with his arms) on top of the Pão de Açucar (the Sugar Loaf, a small mountain miles away). (reply to this comment)
| from JohnnieWalker Monday, July 15, 2002 - 03:02 (Agree/Disagree?) I didn't watch them as much as my kids or other Family kids did. When you're in the same room, you're sort of forced to listen to the dialog of these videos -- That's when you catch the errors. Here's another one a friend of mine caught: The song "Around the World" shows polar bears in Antarctica, another imossibility. (reply to this comment)
