Getting Through : Lighten Up
Postcard from Joe | from ErikMagnusLehnsher - Wednesday, April 20, 2005 accessed 1899 times Greetings from Nepal!!! I completed my newsgroup-detox and despite the occasional craving it's now been 21 days, 3 hours and 14 minutes since I posted on a newsgroup. I have been devoting my days to meditation and the search for inner peace by bringing my yin and yang into proper balance. I have been learning about Sherpa heritage, lama grooming and Tibetan music/literature. Mountain climbing is da shizzle. I ran into Ricky Williams while looking into holistic medicine. I offered some constuctive criticism on his thesis regarding the legalization of cannabis and he kindly autographed both my pocket thesaurus AND my pocket webster's dictionary. Saaawwwweeeet! My paper on "100 reasons why it's GREAT not to be a Newsgroup addict!" is coming along fine. I'm up to 32. A busload of Swedish girls just arrived at the youth hostile that I'm staying at so it might be a while before I can send out another postcard. Fortunately my two month supply of Doctor Porkenheimer's Boner Juice arrived safely before the snow caused a discontinuation of all parcel services. Ma Sherpa Ko Chhoro, Joseph |

| from Phoenixkidd Thursday, April 21, 2005 - 11:09 (Agree/Disagree?) Geezus Christ, you sound like some Morman Missionary who is seeing the world for the first time on some hunt to save some exotic heathens. Don't you realize that this site is visited by people who grew up in wierd and 3rd world countries like Nepal, and your perspectives seem so naive?? Now Swedish tourists and add that young females, are definetely something to get excited about! But your rantings, about Yoga, alternative healing methods, such as ganja are all things that most of us have already tried, in our quest for happiness....You Moron. (reply to this comment)
| From roughneck Thursday, April 21, 2005, 11:24 (Agree/Disagree?) Geezus Christ, you sound like some Mormon Missionary who is hearing a joke for the first time on his hunt to save some exotic Vandari from godknowswhat. And like all true Mormon Missionaries, you seem to be utterly devoid of a sense of humour. Please note the title of the section in which the article is posted (Lighten Up), then kindly take it's advice. I shouldn't have to point out to you that this isn't a real "postcard from joe[sic]", should I??(reply to this comment) |

"lama grooming" --were you talking about buddhist monks or the fuzzy South American ruminants? (Either way is equally funny, but llamas-the-quadrupeds-in-need-of-grooming aren't native to Nepal.;) "youth hostile" -Sounds like Joe's staying at some of the same places I have. -I'm so terribly sorry for him. Don't bother correcting this to "hostel", it's way funnier (to say nothing of accurate) like this. :D (reply to this comment)
